Whats a very good brand of laptop/notebook?
I've had back luck with laptops. Which one could actually last me a few years? Oh and are laptops and notebooks the same thing?
Why doesnt my brand new toshiba laptop dont want to charge???? help!!!!!!!!?
I just bought a brand new toshiba laptop in bestbuy today. I get home plug it in and started using the net. I noticed that even tho it was plugged in, the percentage of the battery wouldnt go up and just stayed in 0 %. While plugged in it say 0 % avaiable plugged in, charging the computer stays on while plugged but like i said the percent stays at zero, and if i unplug it, it will turn off..help please or i will return tommorow morning
Can I return my laptop to walmart if it was brocken when i bought it?
Its really annoying how you cant see an unopen laptop before you buy it at walmart so when i purchased my toshiba i was happy thinking it was all normal so a week passed and i finally got my fender cd and tryed to install it to my laptop only to find out the cd port was not working the light doesnt turn on or open when i push the button. I managed to open it manually with the using a paper clip on the tiny hole that they provide but after placing the cd in it wouldnt load just kept spinning and making noise.... I threw away all the foam and plastic that came with the laptop originally but i have my original reciept and the warranty that came free with the laptop. Can i return it or get it fixed with no charge?

How to turn off mouse on laptop?
I was wondering if anyone could help me to try and turn the mouse off on my laptop? I use a portable mouse, and the one on my laptop itself is driving me crazy because I accidentially keep hitting it, and it deletes things and it's driving me nuts, I can't stand it anymore.My sister and I have both tried to turn it off. She even found a Youtube tutorial on how to do it, but that didn't help either. When I go into the Control Panel and go to Mouse, it doesn't show up with a way on how to turn it off.Idk if this will help or not, but I have Windows 7 on my computer. I'm not sure the type of computer exactly, It's a Dell Inspiron 1501. Idk if that's the actual... model, I guess you could say, but that's what it says on the laptop next to Inspiron, so that's what I'm assuming.Any help at all would be fantastic
I cant get dell laptop to instal windows?
i have a dell inspiron 1000 older computer so basically what happened was my mom let her friend try to fix it and when i got it back and turned it on it goes to a black menu that say i can hit F1 to start windows or F2 to recalibrate the battery well i did F2 first and it told me that battey could not be calibrated so i hit F1 and it asks me which version of windows i would like to run xp home xp professional and xp professional again so i have hit enter on all giving me a different answer cannot start because of system32.hal.dll and the others say windows can not start so i the computer cam with XP on it so i tried to put windows 98 on just to at least get it to run and during the installing it has about 16min left and it froze i found an old e machine restore xp disc that wont instal on one disc it gave me the option to access command prompt so i did FDISK and formatted c drive still no change i found that the hardware in the BIOS say it Has a Toshiba MK3021GAS hard drive so my next question is are dell and Toshiba compatible or its this a tech problem

Ok, so this started yesterday when my computer internet wasn't working, but then i got it working and went on facebook, and it took like 5 minutes to load, but it didn't load, its just a page that is white, really basic, and just says send a new message, 0 unread message, it has my name and picture there, like right down the page tho, then at the bottom along the bottom it has logout, privary settings, account settings, and stuff. I've tried turning my computer internet on and off, logging out, i signed into my other facebook account and it loaded fine, but only the home page, i went to message and it went like mine did. BTW My facebook works fine on my ipod and phone, just wont load anything on the computer? I wouldn't have a clue what to do?
Why does my laptop freeze when playing Grand Chase, and only then?
It's weird but my laptop freezes up whenever I'm playing Grand Chase for like an hour or so. It's pretty damn annoying. And it's not just a simple freeze that just freezes the game but your PC is fine, ooooooh no That would be too easy. My laptop decides to screw me over and the whole laptop freezes, thus I have to restart my PC.Anyways... My friend said it's probably because my laptop just can't handle it. I don't really think that's it. My laptop is only like 3 years old. It ran MapleStory fine, so I don't see why it screws up with this one. My idea is that it has to do with my antivirus software. I use Kaspersky antivirus software, and GC uses nProtective Gaurd, and so from the beginning when I just downloaded GC, it wouldn't run because my Kaspersky wouldn't allow nProtective to run, which is essential in order to launch the game. So I looked around the internet and found a solution in which I put some files from GC into the " trusted" section of Kaspersky, and now it at least let's me run the game.So yeah... I really have no idea why it does this crap. I shouldn't have any problem. For that first hour or so the gameplay is smooth and everything runs up to speed. If anyone could have a suggestion or a tip as to why my laptop freezes, then please post a response. D
When buying a new laptop which pentium, ghz, gb and all that jazz should i get?
I will be using my laptop for email, itunes, online college courses, research, freelance writing blogging, and online shopping. I have no idea what to look for when deciding on which laptop to buy. I don't want something that's gonna run extremely slow after downloading a few things but I also don't wanna pay for much more than what I need. Please help. Also, any pointers for keeping my laptop in brand new condition would be much appreciated.
