The $100 dollar laptop, or the "One Laptop Per Child " laptop is not intended for sale to the general public. It is intended to be sold to governments of third world countries to allow poor kids to use technology. Sad to say, you will probably never be able to get your hands on one, unless you are asked to test it. It's also interesting to note that the $100 laptop's cost is now $175... news.techwhack.com/ 5669/ 100-dollar-laptop/ laptop.org/ laptop/

I've never heard of a $100 dollar laptop, but i have seen them around 200-250. Wait for black friday after thanksgivings, Wal-Mart has them for around that price.

I hope you find this information useful below. Not many laptops are $100. You will probably get a crummy used laptop thats broken and someone does not want to put money into it to fix it up. However if you do get one for $100 you will be needing some major repair. I suggest something like ebay.com and you probably will never get a new one. If you are looking for a laptop around $600-$1000 because your price range changes I suggest Dell. You can check out dell laptops at dell.com .

Good luck with that..... you can probably find one from years ago someone is willing to sell.

LOL I don't think you'd find anything even close, unless maybe if it's old, very outdated and maybe not working too well. Be cheap all you want. Just remember... you get what you pay for. You end up spending more trying to save money. You may not realize that yet, but you will eventually. I'm sure you know all too well that laptops are considerably more expensive than a desktop. Good luck finding that $100 one. If you find one, It's possible you might be able to turn it on, but unlikely. But hey, you'd have one. Besides... you didn't say you wanted one that worked. Good luck!

You are talking about the 60 minutes thing, not a crummy used one. They said that it would take maybe a year or two until they are commercially available in the U.S. There are websites about the program that might be able to tell you more.

Ebay is your best bet. Even tho i cant say ive seen em for 100. But ive seen em kinda cheap...but there might be a reason why there so cheap. Unless you want it for parts. Avoid USED computers. They usually sell em cause something is wrong with it MOST of the time.
