Question: I got an ad for a $100 laptop from the r & c company handicapped aid program (in hollywood), is it a scam?

So the company claims that I can get a refurbished computer for $100 since they are doing it for charity, and I recieved the ad in the mail, adressed to me. I was wondering if anybody else had recieved this paper or if they knew the company. The company is supposed to be in Hollywood...but it seems like it could be genuine but at the same time doubtful. Help!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. $100 for a laptop seems a bit low -- most used pretty-modern laptops on eBay and Craigslist go for $300+ .

I wouldent trust any laptop for only $100 unless it was from a friend

$100 might buy you a picture of one. Most likely it is a scam.

I just got the same thing in the mail today. I did an internet search and can't find anything about them. Except your question. I did a google search on the address and nothing comes up, except that there are businesses around that same building but no suite 2100. It sounds like a building that rents out offices. heh.
