I am considering buying one.Also can anyone tell me any good brand of laptops that I should also consider.Also what are some bad brands that I should avoid.

What i want to know is this a good computer for a college student taking psyhcology it seems like a good computer but i keep getting little feed back of pepole who have used the acer brand computers . some have said that the acer is a good computer but some have said dont even bother with it and get something like a Hp , or dell so is the acer computer good or should i go for another brand . or is it because acer is not as popular as the other computer names that pepole say it is crap.

I have a acer laptop and when I turned it on today everything was magnified. I checked the ease of access settings and they seem to be ok. I also checked the resolution which seems to be ok. What's next? It is very aggrevating Heather

I have heard alot of people saying that this brand of computer isn't good.I have no idea, cause I have never owned one. They do seem to be cheaper than other brands though price wise .But can anyone tell me why people say that Acer isn't a good brand... or are they wrong.
My Acer laptop computer won't shut down and I can't access the power settings. What the poop?
I've had my laptop for about a year now and I've ran into a couple problems. First off, Windows will not shut my Acer laptop down or restart it. I have a program that forces restart and shutdown that works fine. However, i can't get it to shutdown and restart by itself. I've ran everywhere spyware adware virus program known to man. I don't know what's causing this. I'd like to get this working properly in case I ever want to sell my laptop. One other minor problem is I can't access the power settings. I right click the desktop and go to properties, then go to screen saver and click power. Immediately, a little box flashes in the lower left hand corner of my screen but then disappears. It's there for maybe 2 tenths of a second. I've also tried accessing power options from folder files and from the control panel, but the same thing keeps happening. I'd like to set my preferenes screen saver after XX minutes, hard drives off after XX minutes, etc. before selling my laptop. ThanksWhat is wake up lan?I mean wake on lan
When the game loads a sound my acer laptop computer lags! Help!!?
I dunno wat is wrong with my laptop. But it only happened after awhile. Basically, whenever I play a game online. Like Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, Counter Strike or Team Fortress 2. It lags when it plays a sound. Like when you fire a gun, it lags. Or like tonnes of people are shooting, it lags. I have check through spybot S& D, I have defraged. I tried updating drivers, but it says they are the latest, I tried updating DX but I got the latest. I dunno how to fix this problem It is so annoyin as I cant play any FPS games online cos it has to load sounds all the time. I am currently on wireless but i tried lan with cs and stil lags. How to recover a crashed Acer laptop (Computer geeks Please)?
I was constitantly pushing the power button on my laptop. And one day i crashed it. It turns on fine. But the home page display won't come up. How do i get to the Secret Back up in the Acer on boot up ? I did tap F8 i don't get anything pop up. A guy gave me a code like CRTL ALT F something to get to the secret back up. Anyone know it ?

Acer laptop computer print problem.?
I have an Aspire 9300 computer, fairly new, and a Hewlett Packard printer, PSC 1350. One item won't delete at the top of the stored list and other print jobs are piled up behind. They all delete but the first one won't which is blocking and preventing me printing. Anyone know how I can delete it? Everything was working before. Appreciated, thanks.
How do you fix a internet problem on an Acer laptop computer?
My internet connection was working fine and now it seems to have given up on my acer laptop. The broadband connection works fine as I can use with with no problems on my mac. In Network and sharing center The icons my computer connects to The Network icon but doesnt then connect to the internet a red X in between them. Any solutions. Many Thanks.
