Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: Looking to get an alienware laptop. m11x or m17x? more details below?

Ok, so I was wondering which one should I get. First off I need the laptop to - Work (Word, Powerpoint....) - Some transportation (m11x obviously wins here, but transporting the m17x isn't a big deal really) - Gaming ( I want to be able to play COD : MW2, Crysis and games like that with either maxed out settings or at least high quality graphics ) - Video Editing Now for pricing - If i get the m17x it is very unlikely I will upgrade any parts, most likely just get the base system - If I get the m11x I will definetly upgrade it, I'll post the setup below (also should I get 8gb of memory or just 4gb?) m11x Setup SYSTEM COLORAlienware M11x, Cosmic Black PROCESSORIntel® Core™2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz (3MB Cache) OPERATING SYSTEMGenuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English WARRANTY AND SERVICE1 Year Basic Plan MEMORY4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz HARD DRIVE320GB SATAII 7, 200RPM BLUETOOTHBluetooth Module, 2.1+ Enhanced Data Rate MOBILE BROADBANDNo Internal WWAN Antenna Installed If i got the m17x I would just get whatever comes with it. The M11x is a netbook not a notebook, many people do not see that difference. The M11x does not have a built in DVD drive which you would have to by a portable slim drive. If you want gaming and your concerned over the size of the 17x look at the M15x. The M15x has the Intel Core i7 in it as well as blu-ray drive options. The M11x only has a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.3 which will not get you too far good gaming notebooks use the i5 or i7 processors. The one thing that the M17x has over the other two models are the RAID options and the duel Radeon or GeForce video cards so, if you want to have two GTX 280 video cards in SLI for example the M17x is the only option. If your not looking at duel hard drives or video cards the M15x is a better option. The M11x maxed out is over $1500 for an 11 inch screen the M15x starts at that price and has much better components. Honestly I really don't see why people would want to game on a netbook. M15x would be much better for gaming. As I already wrote the M11x is a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.3 GHz and the M15x Intel Core i7 1.6 GHz (baseline).
