Which Asus gaming laptop to pick?
I have been looking at the gaming laptops from Asus, I want it for pure gaming for when I go on trips and stuff. Before I make an investment I want to make sure I make the right choice between these 2tigerdirect.com applications SearchTools item details.asp?EdpNo 6701575& CatId 3998 or tigerdirect.com applications SearchTools item details.asp?EdpNo 5725517& CatId 3998 . I am leaning a little more towards the one with the ATI Radeon HD 5870 because it is more powerful then a 460m, but the other one has a little bit better speed on memory and cpu. bluray doesnt matter to me at all, just games. Please help me decide and thanks in advance. I am also open to suggestions of other gaming laptops that are around the same price.

Problem with ASUS gaming laptop. Need Help will boot but wont start Windows!?
It goes to a black screen and says Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. then it syas to fix it i need to insert a cd which i dont have. Then it says File windows system32 boot winload.exe Status 0xc0000001 Info The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.I just wanted to know what the problem is and what i can do to fix it. Thanks for any suggestions
ASUS gaming laptop screen problems, what is the problem?
I have an ASUS G50VT X5, bought from Bestbuy last year Around April . About 3 weeks ago, i noticed that at times, the font would have a blue shadow. I would put the machine to sleep, and reopen to find the problem resolved. Yesterday, I was using my laptop again for typing when all of a sudden the screen started flickering. Once the screen was stable, I noticed the colors were distorted. It was as if I was running 8 bit colors. I put it to sleep, and when I reopened the laptop, it would be fixed for about 5mins, then it would start bleeding pink and baby blue lines. Afterwards, I reset the laptop and placed it on battery saving. So far it has been ok. About 3 weeks ago, my brother spilt water on the left side of my laptop where the exhaust and vid card is , but I was able to wipe away the water quickly, less than 3 seconds I would say. Is my video card dying? Or does it have something to do with the LCD? I don't live in the US, I live in the Philippines. Even if we have a service center here, I doubt they have the parts for this laptop. I'm also afraid they might take parts out since gaming laptops here cost twice the amount they sell for in the U.S. No market here for gaming laptops . Where do you think the problem lies, my vid card or the screen?
Problem with Asus gaming laptop?
Okay, so I have an Asus gaming computer and I've only had it for maybe two or three months.Just today, I've noticed that the side with the fan is really hot, and I mean the entire side.Half the keys and part next to the touch pad are really hot.Not only that but I've noticed that today and last night when the computer got overheated it started running very slow and unresponsive a moment later. I've tried looking to see if I had a virus because of the going slow, but it didn't pick up anything.The fan is working, because every so often I hear it making a whooshing sound.The slow part might not have anything to do with it, but it's getting hard to type when the keys get hot.Any help ideas?
