Question: My new asus laptop won't connect to the internet.?

I just got this thing, and it's a great laptop, but for some reason it refuses to connect to the internet, even when I'm inches away from a router. There is a switch on the side, that is a wireless switch I guess that I turned on, but nothing. Can somebody help me out here?

Try 2 connect it via cable if it dosnt work then u need to install the laptop network card if it work without installing network drive then u have a wireless problem if it dosnt work even after installing ur newtwork driver then contact ur service provider
