In short, not really. You can change graphics cards for your laptop, but its an absolutely arduous and complex task. The main difficulty is that first of all, you'll need to find a video card that fits the motherboard and is compatible, for example, with the battery throughput. Then, the second major difficulty is that you'll have to buy the graphics card itself.. You don't just get graphics card in your normal electronics retailer or internet retailer. Its really difficult to find a graphics card, but if you have the tenacity to upgrade your computer, then you may want to look at ebay or something like that. Most people normally take the components of refurbished/ second hand laptops from ebay and use them in their own laptops. Since it's so difficult, I'd recommend you to first download a demo of a game with similar graphics requirements (I checked the Starcraft 2 website and can't find any demo links, you might want to try the beta), and see if it performs on your computer, so something like Supreme commander 2/ Supreme commander 1 would be a good benchmark to compare performance. |
