Question: My asus laptop switches off, everytime i put my t-mobile modem into a usb.(it reboots ok tho). what is wrong?

My laptop is switched on. i plug the tmobile modem into a usb port. the power goes off immediately. why? i have to boot the laptop up again, and then everything works ok. is there some problem with my modem?

Something seems to be wrong with USB modem. It is destabilizing the USB port of laptop, causing a system error that causes the shutdown.
