Question: What is the best laptops to buy?

Im looking for a new/ refurbished cheap laptop to buy...i had an acer...and i liked it...but then thought about getting an apple ibook....i absolutly hate it and cant figure a thing out about it. i just want something simple to check email and browse the net...any suggestions???

I would go to ebay and search for the asus 701 netbook. make sure it has win xp on it. It only has a 7 inch screen but has a 2 or 3 hour battery and weighs only 2.5 lbs and has a built-in (some do) webcam and builtin mike which is great for Skype and is very good for just surfing the net and checking email. U could probably pick up a used one with XP for only 99 bucks or a little more.
