Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: Where is a good place to buy a cheap laptop (uk)?

I'm interested in buying a 15 " laptop, new or used but must be cheap. I'm not bothered about latest specifications, as I will be running Ununtu Linux on it. Are there any shops you would recommend to use? James Jones: thanks for answering. Ideally looking to spend <£300. Ubuntu is an open source operating system, a 'flavour' of GNU/ Linux. Google it for more. Sweet Fish: noted, but I'm trying to keep costs down.

I would suggest you buy one from ebay, or from someone selling one in the paper.If you want to be safe though, pc world is pretty good. How much did you want to spend, and what is ununtu linux.Also, who is the guy in the photo? looks like bill sykes!

Love you're Isambard Kingdom Brunel pic.. Take a look at Big Tesco stores that have pc departments, they sell lappies cheap (end off stock, ect) especially now it's windows 7 time.. p.s the better specs the better you're Ubuntu experience will be, the muti cube desk top is better eye candy then windoz... so don't think Linux is just for old or underpowered computers.
