I'm going to be my fathers company's File Manager and resource finder, and I'd like to have a laptop notebook for keeping and organizing his files from each job he< they> complete. do you have a suggestion on WERE i could find one, and what programs would best suit my needs?

I am looking for an affordable, nice, cheap, laptop computer. i am attending gradschool next year and will be doing more commuting and am looking to buy a laptop computer. I want one simply for school work. So good internet use, word processing type stuff, and one with a DVD player. I dont be putting media on there or anything. I have a desktop for that. So i dont need a ton of memory or anything.Ideas? I was looking at the IMB thinkpad. I dont want to spend more than $500.

A few years ago a bought a very powerful pc from cyberpower pc.com because their prices where very low. It was one of those company's that buys parts and puts a pc together for you very inexpensively . This year i am off to college and i am looking for a gaming laptop. However cyberpower has now raised their prices so much that their laptops are almost as expensive as alienware.
