Building a custom laptop, but not sure if the motherboard will support the parts. If they do not, what to use?
The barebones case that I will be using is " Alienware Area 51 M M17x R1 Laptop" . It says it comes with a Display, Keyboard, and Motherboard. Did I screw up on choosing this processor? (custom laptop order)?
Well I customized an HP dv4t laptop and just ordered it. I'm satisfied with how I made it except for the processor I think . I have 4gb ddr3 RAM on it with a dedicated video card.The one I chose is Option 1 Intel R Core TM 2 Duo Processor T6600 2.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB But I had the option to choose this for $150 extra.Option 2 Intel R Core TM 2 Duo Processor P8700 2.53 GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB Now I can simply call up and have them cancel it. The only game I plan on playing with the laptop is battlefield 2. I'm going to be using it mostly for school music movies. So probably a lot of multitasking. And would option 2 eat up a lot more battery? Would I be getting much more noticeable performance? Would option 1 run battlefield 2 fine?Suggestions would be greatly appreciated I bought a 2 year accidental damage warranty for the thing for $179.00.Thanks for the input I'll just use that $150 for a decent anti virus, and modern warfare 2. console version

Custom Laptops fragile?
Recently, I've found a great ASUS N53SM N53.It contains an I7 2670qm quad core processor, 16 GB Ram, and 2gb NVidia GT 630M graphics.According to reviews, the original had 8GB of Ram, and only 1GB cardDo custom laptops upgraded that much have higher chance of failing after shorter periods of time?
