A question about my dell laptop computer?

Question: A question about my dell laptop computer?

(Posted by: Magnetoman88 on 2011-04-11 18:58:20)

I have an Inspiron 1564 Dell laptop computer and over the past two to three days, it has been running slower and shutting down unexpectedly in the middle of programmes. I strongly believe that this is due to overheating due to dust collecting in the fan compartment. Therefore, I’ve been trying to remove the base covering to clean the fan compartment with compressed air, but am unable to because the top part containing the keys and the touchpad is too tightly attached to the base covering. Could someone please tell me how I could remove the base covering as well as what the other potential factors are that might be causing this problem?
