hey ppl i have some sort of a problem with my laptop.. most of the games that ive installed make my laptop get hung. i mean they dont even open at all and not jus get hung at a paticular title screen or something. these are the same installation files that ive used successfully on my desktop n the games work 100 % fine there. the problem n confusion now is that well my laptop is a million times more powerful than the desktop.Desktop intel dual core e series processor2 gb ram and512mb nvidia geforce 9400gtLaptop dell xps l502xcore i7 2630qm8gb ram2 gb nvidia geforce gt540mbtw they both run windows 7 ultimate x64 which has also been installed frm the same damn disk..what do i do??i was told to unistall disable my antivirus but i have the same version of the same antivirus avira free edition installed on both my computers n there seems to b no issues there.. every last details about the software part of both the computers is the same. the browsers installed, the security software, the music player, etc etc every last detail. some games eg. CS 1.6, CS Source work on both. the games that don't work are Most Wanted, AVATAR, CS Global Offensive, n and this jurassic park game i randomly decided to check out.. and btw the system never hangs otherwise or with other software.. it hangs only when i start any of those games i mentioned
I have trouble remapping my functions on my dell xps laptop keyboard..I need expert help..?
I recently got a dell xps 15 laptop and found that there was no pause break key in it. Since one of the games i play requires the pause key to pause the game, i was forced to try different combinations with the fn key and finally found that fn insert produced pause on my dell xps laptop. I have tried all i can to remap the pause functionality but it is NOT working.I have tried the sharpkeys software as well but to no effect. Is there anyway to remap the functionality of 'fn insert' onto another key that demands much less fuss while gaming there is no option to change the game pausing functionality in the game options , say the right alt?If so please explain how to do it and what software i should use. If not, why?Thanks.

Are Dell XPS Laptops any better or tougher or more rugged than Inspirons?
I'm looking for a new laptop. My old Inspiron was pretty rugged, but the new ones look a little cheezy, not as rugged. I notice that the XPS are more expensive than the Inspirons do you think they're tougher or more durable? This is for a student who will be dragging it everywhere in a backpack, so it's got to be able to take a bit of a pounding.
Black screen when connecting Dell XPS laptop to Panasonic Viera HDTV. Any ideas?
Ok so I've connected a Dell XPS laptop running Windows 7 with an NVidia GT550M video card to a Panasonic Viera TX P50C2B using a HDMI HDMI cable.I've followed every guide I can find from Microsoft, NVidia and Panasonic to enable me to use the TV as a monitor or extend the desktop onto it but whatever I try there is just a black screen on the TV. I've seen lots of people saying they have no audio and lots of solutions to that but I have nothing at all, just a black screen.I want to be able to stream media and display it on the TV and this is doing my head in now. It seems so simple but I can't get it to work.I'd be very grateful for any help.Hadi Boris, neither of those work. Thanks.
Why would Dell giveaway a free Dell XPS Laptop?
Recently I heard that Dell is giving away free Dell XPS Laptops to customers as some sort of promotion against Apple. Have any of you heard anything about this? Dell laptops have been suffering with the popularity of the Macbooks and maybe this is a way for Dell to get the word out. Who wouldn't test and keep a Dell laptop for free?

Dell XPS Laptop won't print to HP Officejet 5600 printer?
My computer hook uped to it no problem a month ago. Now my computer will not recognize the printer. When I go to add the printer again, it will hook up but won't print anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
