Can anyone recommend a long lasting external laptop battery for my laptop? Thanks.?
Where can I find a external laptop battery charger for Gateway NV5378u?
My laptop was dropped and landed right on the plug in, breaking the charger outlet. So instead of buying a whole new motherboard or soldering a new plug in in, I would like to find an external charger just for the the battery since I only use this laptop for an hour or two at most, but I cannot find a charger for this model of computer. Maybe someone knows a reliable location I could find one? Thank you for the help

Will an external laptop battery charger fix my problem?
I bought my HP laptop about three years ago and recently I ve been having a lot of problems charging it. I know the battery is not the problem because I just bought a new one a couple of months ago. Whenever I try charging it, a blue light has to turn on to signify that it is charging but for some reason it turns off if I move. When this happens, I have to twist the adapter thing until it turns back to blue. This has been working for a couple of weeks but today I tried a bund of different positions and it turns blue but then starts to go out looks kinda like a power outage I ve been reading up on similar problems people have had and I think it has to do with a broken charging port. I tried looking up how to fix it and it seems very complicated. So I was thinking that maybe I should just get and external battery charger instead of trying to fix the port. Will this work?Why would the DC connector have to be fixed? It seems like the DC connector is in charge of providing electricity from the AC adapter to the laptop. If I charger the battery outside of the laptop, I wouldn't even need the DC connector.This is what I understood from what I've been reading, I could be totally wrong.

i have a lenovo laptop 3000 n100.My battery only last 1 hr, so i plan to have another battery while i'm using one the other is on charging, so when my battery get over i can continue my work with the charge one.also is it safe to change a battery without switching off the laptop, i.e plug the laptop on power while i change the battery.so is there any product available to charge a laptop battery externally

Is an External Laptop Battery of 19v 5amps compatible with a 19v, 1.58amp Netbook? I dont know much about amps and volts, and im considering an external battery pack for the netbook to help me stay long hours on the road. But the external battery says 19v at 5amps max. while the netbook laptop says 19v, 1.58amps. Now i'm having doubts about buying it as I am afraid the more amps might cause it to overheat. But on the other hand I also think that its just the voltage that i have to worry about, the amps just give the idea of how much power it can supply and charge the device.
