I need to find a fast laptop for under $900. I will be using it for DJ purposes both live mixing and studio recording , and I will need the screen to be around 15 inches. I will be carrying it around in a bag as I go to different places, so nothing too heavy. As mentioned before I will be using it for DJ stuff, so a lot of controllers will be plugged in the computer at one time. I also refuse to buy a Macbook Pro as they are very expensive but I know there are PCs out there that are as fast if not faster than a Macbook. So I need something around that quality. Need a faster Laptop. HELP!?
I bought a new IBM Lenovo laptop from Best Buy 7 months ago, and it gets a 4.0 rating, which is pretty good. It's been a good laptop and I've used it for hours everyday since I bought it with no issues except 1. It is so slow. It takes a few minutes to boot up. Sometimes even 5 minutes, then it takes another 3 to 5 minutes to get online with wifi. I even reset everything to factory settings and it'still slow. I was told that the pentium dual core R 2.1GHz is not very good for windows 7, which is what I have, I want to go with a faster computer. I don't play any games so I don't need an extreme processor. I don't think I even need a i7 Core. I was thinking about an i3 to start. Does anyone know if the i3 is great for booting up fast?
