I want to buy my first laptop. Please tell me what processor speed, hard drive, RAM, and any other?
information I need to help me get the most bang for my buck. Also, if you have a brand recommendation and how much I should be paying, that would be great, too. I would be using it mostly for internet based work and web surfing, not much in the way of gaming. Many thanks.

My first laptop motherboard burnt out about 6 months ago with all accessories which was attached?
My first laptop motherboard burnt out about 6 months ago with all accessories USB Hub Keyboard Mouse T.V Device which was attached. Then I purchased new laptop and 3 days ago same thing happened just like " REPLAY" . One thing i noticed from both laptop's motherboards that the area around LAN card jack was black. My Question is," Can LAN cable burn motherboard due to electric shocks surge or there is some other reason." Additional DetailsI always put my laptop on a glass table, i don't play games. Both times my laptop was in idle condition when motherboards burnt out.I check and clean vents frequently, there was no problem with vent blocking.
Buying my first laptop/netbook?
I'm a huge noob when it comes to laptops, I don't know what I'm doing at allll haha. so I want to buy a laptop or maybe a netbook? . I'd be mostly using it for homework, but also for stuff like skyping and facebook, and I definitely need flash.I'd be doing a lot of word processing on it, and maybe a little video and photo editing. I don't want it to be too heavy so I can take it traveling, but still have a decent amount of memory... any suggestions? tips on buying laptops? I don't want to spend a ton of money though.thankss
