Believe it or not, life is not a fairy tale where the things you want just fall out of the sky (unless the things you want are bird poop, rain, and snow). Free usually means you stole it or it's a scam. Buy one from a reputable distributor like TigerDirect.com or CompUSA.com.

Sometimes I see offers for free laptops to pick it up because people dont need it anymore. But those laptops are so old that you could only use Notepad.... So you're gonna have to save up some money.

Well Josh, that's an perplexing question you pose. How does one a free laptop? Economically speaking usually something with intrinsic value (equal to that of a product) is exchanged for goods and services, be it money or a service preformed. Acquiring a product without the exchange is an economic paradox. I am truly at a loss as to your conundrum. You don't. You buy one, or you look at various sites like craigslist for free ones, which are usually old and/ or have problems with it). Don't expect to get the newest laptop on the market with Windows 7, and if you do get a laptop, consider yourself lucky.
