Most professionals who do reviews on equipment work for a company that will make money by presenting these reviews. Sometimes the money they make comes through Ad revenue. At any rate these professionals may or may not get to keep the equipment, but the equipment is typically donated to the company that is presenting the review by the manufacturer. It is considered within the manufacturer's advertising budget to donate the equipment. Can private individuals get free equipment just for reviewing it? No. Why? Because there is no way to determine the quality of the review from an unknown individual. So if you are looking to get free equipment you can turn around and sell, just by providing reviews on the equipment, you are unlikely to be able to get a journalistic job writing these reviews for a company that presents them. end of line |
