Need help with a gateway laptop charger.?
i have this perfectly good charger and a good laptop.but when the green light is on sayin the charger works and is on,the charge isnt picking up.and it is plugged in but wont charge at all.when i play with it it does pick a little up but not much.need help

Hello people. I have a gateway laptop and it's about 6 months old. ever since we got it, the charger was always plugged into the outlet. the charger has been working fine ever since, but for a week now the charger hasn't beeen working properly. i know there are many problems out there when people's laptop charger just won't work at all, but my laptop charger is a little differnt and hard to explain...well, when the charger is plugged into my laptop, the laptop won't charge, but it's still awake i hope this makes sense . i've been trying to fix it by plugging the charger into different outlets, but it still doesn't work. i'm using my laptop right now and the charger is plugged into it at this point, but it's not charging. i don't know why it has been like this. is it because the charger has been plugged into the outlet for a long time and needs it's break? or it's just because of how the company made the charger? i'm not sure, but if i do need to get a new charger do i still have the warranty 6 months after . i checked the box that the laptop came in to see the warranty, but they didn't label it, so i'm not sure what to do. thanks guys, i'm sorry this is long, and i hope this is understandable.
Gateway laptop charger dont work.?
i just got a charger called kensington . 33404 AC Notebook Computer Power Adapter and it doesnt charge half the time i will plug it in but it wont charge at all some times it will but then it will stop its a 90 wat charger.its brand new because i just got my gateway laptop back and lost old charger so if anyone has any advice it would be useful thx.

Have a newer Toshiba Satellite whose charger broke, Have a two year old Gateway laptop charger I wanna use instead. The plug fits into the laptop but I'm afraid to fry something have fried batteries before the Toshiba is a 19v 3.95A charger and the Gateway is a 19v 3.42A charger. I realize lower amp chargers just tend to charge your battery slower, but being a different brand I just wanted another opinion. Thanks

What is an easy way I can fix my Gateway laptop charger port?
My laptop already had a difficult time charging but now once i out the wire into the port it wont charge due to some sort of disturbance in either the charger itself or the port and the battery on my laptop died so now unless i figure out how to fix the charger port I am without a laptop. And if you have had this problem before and got it professionally fixed exactly how much did the repair work cost?
