What do you think about gateway laptop computers?
i might get one
I have a Gateway laptop computer and the spot where the on/off button is, has broken, now I can't turn it on a?
broken and it can not be turned on.I want to know first,can it be fixed? then I want to know if it would be expensive, finally is it worth fixing it or do I have to get another one.I live in Bath.Me, does anyone know of a place to take it that, does a good job,and who is not expensive? Really would appreciate any help.

During my initial days as a laptop user, I had discovered a mysterious phenomenon of sorts. I would be typing thick and fast, trusting my skills without paying too much attention and then when I would look back at the screen, I found the lines of text mysteriously intertwined It was a mystery because at first I didn t realize that the erratic cursor movement is caused when your hand touches the touchpad while you are typing. It can get annoying pretty quickly when all of a sudden you find that you are typing the password in the username box all because the touchpad mistook the accidental contact as tap.I tried searching to find solutions to this problem but none of those apply on my settings. Btw, i am using Windows 7. My laptop model is Gateway NV53 just to add info I really need help so please please help me.
How do I burn a copy of a DVD on my Gateway laptop computer if it only has one CD/DVD drive?
I know my laptop computer has the capability to do this and I assume I will have to copy the DVD data to my hard drive or my external hard drive connected , then insert a blank DVD into the drive and copy that data onto the blank DVD. However, I don't know how to do that. I have the Nero program but it doesn't offer me the option to upload to my hard drive or at least I don't think it does. Please help. Thanks so much
May have deleted recovery partition for gateway laptop. Computer wont boot up, HELP?
I was trying to clean up some space for my gateway ML6732 laptop and i think i might have deleted the recovery partition, now my computer wont boot up. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas before i took it to a computer shop or smash it into pieces. any help would be greatly appreciated

Gateway Laptop Computer Power Source Questions?
1. My Power Adapter keeps flashing on and off for charging, I'm hoping it's just the Power Adapter, is that the best thing to do, just buy a new one?2. When the charging is " On" , the monitor is brighter, when it's not charging, the monitor dims a bit. This has always happened, I was just wondering if there was any way to not have that difference anymore. If I can keep it one brightness?Thank youit's on Windows XP
