I need an ac adapter for my old gateway laptop. Is there a store I can go to and buy?
Best buy has universal ac adapters which are over $100 Microtech, I was unsuccessful in finding them online to ensure they had them in the store. I prefer to walk in a store to buy it. I do not want to order online. I live in Massachusetts.If this is helpful, the model of the laptop is gateway mx6453

I got a new laptop and for every program well not everything most programs this thing pops up and it asks me " Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer?" and I have to click either yes or no and it bothers me a lot.. is there any way to get rid of that?? thanks

I bought a gateway laptop when i got out of high school about 3 years ago..i think the problem is in the power cord i would have to set my laptop a certain way for it to charge. now it wouldn't charge at all..i looked closer to the power cord and it looks damaged i was wondering if i replace the cord will it fix the problem.???
How do you take a snapshot using a gateway laptop that runs on windows 7?
im playing sims 3 on my laptop and i just got it and i wanna send a snapshot to someone. but i dont know how to take a snap shot. my other one you could just press fn and insert and press ctrl v in paint and then save it. but this one is windows 7 and its a gateway so i dont know how. any help? thanks its just when i press paste in paint its all black. i paste it and its not the screens hot i toook its just black
How do I insert my memory card into my gateway laptop?
I have a Gateway NV58 and it has a cardreader. I want to insert my memory card from my camera into the slot however there seems to be like a fake memory card already in the slot which was the way it was when I bought the laptop and I can't seem to take it out. I don't know if I'm not doing it correctly but I tried pushing it in so it might eject and pulling it out but the thing doesn't budge How do I check if the disk drive indicator is on off? Sorry..
My gateway laptop won't start up and go to my desktop?
My Laptop is a Gateway MX6930, I was running it off battery power, I had it plugged into my internet chord if that matters I shut my computer off by just holding the power button and unplugged the internet. I carried it off somewhere, then when I turned it back on it gave me a few options, Safe Mode, Safemode with networking, Safe mode with Comand Prompt, last known configeration, or start windows normally. It doesn't matter which one I pick it goes to the Microsoft Windows XP loading page, it stays there for a while then a blue screen pops up for a second with a bunch of white printing, it's on and off too fast to read. Then the screen goes black and it starts from the Gateway screen when you turn it on and repeats the process over and over again Please help, I just got the laptop used from a friend a couple of hours ago and it already stopped working
Why does my built in webcam on my gateway laptop always go black after a few minutes?
I turn it on and it works fine but then it goes dark for a second and back to normal. Then after like 5 minutes it goes completely dark.Help?

I have Gateway MX7118 laptop and i'd love to put a new video card graphic card on it. But i heard that it's almost impossible to upgrade video card on Gateway laptops because they put graphic cards on their motherboards. So i'd like to know if my laptop has it's video card installed on the motherboard, and if it is, is there anyway to upgrade my video card?
What do I do, my Gateway laptop is not recognizing the fact that I've plugged in my charger?
The battery is draining, and I've tried plugging this thing in about 10 times and it is not recognizing that... I tried different outlets, I tried removing and putting back in the battery, nothing I even restarted it 3 times. Please help Nothing was droppedcome to find out there was a power surge at my home and the outlets in the rooms I was in lost power. Problem solved, thanks everyone
What battery will work with my Gateway Laptop?
I've had this laptop a year n a half. It is a MD7820u. The battery pretty much died a few months ago. Its stats are AS07B31, 10.8v, 4400mAh 47.5Wh, lithium ion battery. I am having trouble finding a replacement for it. Many forums say to not get a new battery if the volts don't match and most the batteries I'm finding are 11.1 or 14 volts, and likely to not work w the computer. I'd appreciate more information about it and if anyone can find the exact battery I need can buy online, that'd be great.
