USB ports not responding on my gateway laptop!?
whenever i try to plug in my ipod or my camera, nothing happens. it doesn't even say that theirs a problem. the screen just stays the same and nothing happens.
How can i reboot my gateway laptop, when it keeps restarting?
My labtop was acting kinda crazy, so I decided to restart it to the very begining, so as the setup was loading my computer shut down. When I turned it on it started loading the set up again, but this little pop up comes up and tells me " the computer restarted unexecpectly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click " OK" to restart computer, then restart installation" and then every time I restart my computer the pop up comes up again. What do I do? Please help.
How do i fix my gateway laptop?
I have a Gateway W650a and recently i just had this problem. i usually put my computer to sleep which in a couple of hours turns off afterwards and that never seemed to be a problem. but when i went to turn it on this afternoon the screen wouldn't appear a thing, completely black i'd turn it on but nothing works. its like the computer is frozen please help me, what do i do?

I was playing a game called Vindictus on x mas then I stop playing with my laptop because I had other games.When I finished one game I went back to my laptop but all of the sudden it shut down.Now it shuts down in a minute.Do I have a virus or is this a gateway problem?It's not overheating and I knew where I downloaded the game because I downloaded another game from the company before and I had no problems.Also I tried to put a McAfee disc in but it doesn't do anything.I also had it for a year or 2
I have a brand new gateway laptop, but it has a mouse delay when using keyboard?
The gateway is nv57h50u, its just about a month old. Ok, so when i click any key it has like a 3 second wait time to use the mouse. I dont know what to do. Its hard to play games, type, homework, exc. and I need help, Thanks.ok, i just updated my synaptics, the lag is shorter but still there. Im just using the built in keyboard and mouse.
My gateway laptop won't power on.?
I have a gateway laptop that when I hit the power button, I hear the hard drive start up, but it shuts down after only a couple of seconds. My fiance got mad about the slow internet and closed the lid with a bit of force. It had recently had the hard drive replaced after similar symptoms. Could it be another hard drive failure? There is nothing on the screen, however, the screen 'darkens' when it tries to power up. Please help.
Are the new gateway laptops sturdy?
In the past I've heard that gateway was a bad brand, that their hardware breaks down and such. More recently however, I've heard that the gateway brand is getting better.I am currently looking at the Gateway NV55s09u laptop to buy. I am comparing this against an HP G6.My question is, if I buy the gateway laptop, will it last?Please refrain from answering this, unless you or someone you know has actually used a gateway NV series laptop any of them .
I have a Gateway Laptop that is alittle over 2 yrs old. I am not the best with computers.....?
BUT given the proper Instructions I am not bad on computers. My laptop is slower that normal and my touchpad dont work alot and it has a very slow start up. Please help me on what to do.....should I reset the laptop to manufacturing settings and re add the programs I want to have again or is their another less cost effective method to this problem. HELP PLEASE........
Could I download ePSXe to a Gateway laptop?
Now I'm getting a little curious whether to download it or not, but I need some advice. Now this laptop is about 6 years old from Gateway. It's a model W323 UI1. This model is no longer in production. I'm wanting to download ePSXe since I pretty much miss the old days of Playstation and I found out about emulators. ePSXe looks great from the videos I saw, but I'm unsure to use it on this laptop. Along with the requirements feels kind of " pricy" , when all the plugins are free. So, could I download this to my laptop?Okay I've downloaded it, but the problem is that it's hard to run a game for some reason. I even did the configuration. SO HELP
Gateway laptop will not boot or restore.?
My mother has a Gateway laptop. I do not have specs because the computer won't turn on and she doesn't have any of the original manuals.After searching on google, I see a lot of users have similar problems with gateway laptops. The Gateway logon screen comes up, but the OS doesn't boot and I am prompted to do a system restore, which never works and eventually times out.What can I do? She asked to use my laptop and I said HELL NO, YOUR NOT BREAKING MINE.
Macbook pro or Gateway laptop?

I have a Gateway laptop and my screen is really dark all of a sudden. Help?
My Gateway is three years old. It's always worked perfectly but all of a sudden the right side of the thing holding the screen cracked and fell off. The screen is still on it, no problem, but it's wobbly and when I tilt it slightly far back it falls flat. It has been like this for a week or two and now I opened it and the screen was really dark. It is light around the arrow and the spinning loading thing, when it is loading. It is plugged in and when I unplug it it gets even darker. I turned it to full brightness using the Fn button and the arrow keys, yes, it is as right as it gets and is still very dark. I want real answers because I can't just go out and buy a new laptop. I'm a PC and I don't want to go to Mac unless they were on a magical sale, which I highly doubt. I need this fixed ASAP
Why won't my Gateway laptop let me record videos with my web camera?
The first few months when I had my Gateway NV59C series laptop, it would let me record videos with my web camera. But now, the web camera will only let me take pictures Please help
