Are the new gateway laptops sturdy?
In the past I've heard that gateway was a bad brand, that their hardware breaks down and such. More recently however, I've heard that the gateway brand is getting better.I am currently looking at the Gateway NV55s09u laptop to buy. I am comparing this against an HP G6.My question is, if I buy the gateway laptop, will it last?Please refrain from answering this, unless you or someone you know has actually used a gateway NV series laptop any of them .
Windows seven gateway laptop help!!!?
i need some help i had a flip it broke and flip suport said they couldre boot it by deleting every thing on it so i let them have control over my computer and with me watching i saw them un hide a bunch of things on my computer so they could delet every thing that hd to do with the flip so she went back to hide all the things she unhide and she hide my moms user acount on accedent i can still get to all her thing through my account but she wants it back to the main page that shows up when you turn the computer on any advise will help ive spent about 2 hours searching and havent made any progress please HELP thanxs
How can i reboot my gateway laptop, when it keeps restarting?
My labtop was acting kinda crazy, so I decided to restart it to the very begining, so as the setup was loading my computer shut down. When I turned it on it started loading the set up again, but this little pop up comes up and tells me " the computer restarted unexecpectly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click " OK" to restart computer, then restart installation" and then every time I restart my computer the pop up comes up again. What do I do? Please help.

Gateway laptop computer with windows 7?
I have a laptop with windows 7. Is there a way to lock the windows icons? After I set the icons where I want them and close the lid the icons go back to where they were. Also is there a setting for putting the computer on standby rather than logging out when I close the lid?

Why does my Gateway laptop shut down while watching netflix?
My Gateway laptop, with Windows 7, IE 8 and Google Chrome, shuts down after several minutes watching Netflix. It sits on cooling fan pad and has additional house fan blowing on it. It doesn't shut down while surfing. What to do?
How do I restore my Gateway Laptop.?
I bought a gateway laptop a little before X mas and made restore disks immidiatly but after about 2 weeks the hard drive completely died and had to be returned and repaired. love my luck with technology Now that its back when I put in the restore disk I cannot figure out how to use it. I could go back to future shop and ask them to do it but I'd rather do it myself right now and get my downloads going so they are done when I wake up. Thank you for your time and help. My Gateway laptop wont start up?
Okay my gateway which I've had for about two years will not start up. You can turn it on, then it makes the noise that it's powering up, but a second later it will stop and the screen is just black. Like the power light is on. At the top of the keyboard, those lights that show the computer is loading up, those are not there. I already know my battery needs to be replaced. The computer overheats a lot, LOL sometimes the fan will make this jingling noise and A LITTLE puff of smoke will come out. Sometimes when it overheats the computer will freeze at the windows screen, so I have to start repair a lot, but now I cant do that.Whats wrong? How can I fix it?
I have a brand new gateway laptop, but it has a mouse delay when using keyboard?
The gateway is nv57h50u, its just about a month old. Ok, so when i click any key it has like a 3 second wait time to use the mouse. I dont know what to do. How do I delete my hdd default password on my gateway laptop?
My friend down the street was moving and gave me his really old gateway laptop. When i turned it on it asked for a hdd password. PLEASE HELP ME it is a gateway running XP i think. it has an intel centrino duo. model number TA6.also i can get into the settings but i cannot disable the hdd password in any way

The original os is vista but I had virus so my neighbor put a non genuine copy of windows 7 ultimate. I have already backed up all my pics and such. I also have to do my dads desktop for the same reason. Im not happy with this guy. I just want to make sure I do it correctly. 2.00 GHz, 32 bit os, 1.50 gb memory.
