I built a computer several months ago and now I want to build a laptop because I find the ones in stores bend a little to teh expensive side.But I already searched andI can't find any of the parts that would be needed to build a laptop. The only thing I ever saw that was closest to a laptop would be just teh RAM.So can someone tell me if they actually do sell laptop motherboards, shells, processors, and graphic cards in the buff?And, even if I do have the motherboard, what kind of case would be needed for it to fit?btw, I just want the computer to be built for basic work and basic gaming. Plus, how do I put the stuff together? I wouldn't need to know this but answer if you please. Also, should I even risk building a laptop? There is always the risk of it blowing in my face. But I also save plenty of money. I saved over 500 dollars when building my desktop.aww shucks. since I can't build one, I should just go buy a Vaio then. I know a Vaio isnt the best choice, but I just love teh design. Either that or an XPS

I want to build a laptop with touchscreen on my own. Or a laptop with keyboard at least. How to build a laptop?
I have an old Sharp laptop from 1996 and I think it would be really cool and a little funny to totally upgrade it to be a powerful computer. Almost everything would need to be changed. I don't think any of the parts inside, would be useful at all, not even the battery. Is it possible to do this kind of thing? How would I find a motherboard that would fit and work in it? If it isn't possible, could buy a modern laptop that is the same size and replace it's body with that of the old Sharp laptop? I have searched for information about doing this kind of thing, but all I can find is about making a laptop from a DIY kit. That isn't what I'm trying to do though.

So what I need is some advice on what a good book or website is. One that will give good info on what the parts are and what they do.
