HP Laptop Battery life?
I can get about 2.5 maybe 3 hours out of my battery for my HP, it lasts a good 2.5 though, I can push it down to the very last to maybe 3. Is that the normal rate for PC's. I know that Mac can get about 8 hours which is amazing but 3 is pretty good for what I need it for. Is 2.5 a good amount for a laptop?

Well ive had this laptop for about a year and a half, and is been given me a lot of problems, maybe its me, since its my first laptop and idk how to deal w the updates, but anyway..my battery is running out of life very soon AGAIN ,the first time this happened i called the company and since i was still in the 'warranty' they sent me a replacement, so now that i have 7 mnths w the new battery, its running out again, it charges very quickly and it runs out very quickly as well, when i got the new replacement i tried every possible way make this battery last, and now i dont know wat to do, the battery is out of warranty and i dont have that much money to buy a new one right now, so my question is, does anyone know wat to do, to make my battery last a little longer? ive tried running my laptop w out battery and just plugged in, but for some reason the computer runs differently it freezes and the performance is very slow can anyone pls help me??thanx in advance

My Hp Pavilion Laptop Used to last atleast 3 4 hours without a charger but now it only last up to 30 minutes and heats up quickly can someone tell me what wrong or how I can fix it.

Do they have good battery life compared to other brands like Toshiba, Lenovo, or Samsung?I'm using the laptop mostly for writing research papers and running a program during overnight experiments in the lab.
Cheap New Hp Laptop Battery Life?
Okay i just bought a New Hp Pavilion DM4T Laptop. Now according to the package the Battery life should last UP to 6.5hrs. So i got home plugged it in and let it charge over night, seems like plenty of time to charge right? So in the morning i packed all my stuff, made sure the laptop was OFF and not on standby or anything, and headed out the door. When i got to school I started up the laptop and went through all the intro and registration. Then plugged the laptop back into the power cord. At lunch time came i showed my brand new laptop off to my classmates because ive been saving for this laptop since beginning of the year and they all knew i was planning on getting one. Anyways i noticed that the battery was 100 % and the power mode was on Balanced but the remaining life was only 1Hr. 30Min. Later that evening i recharged it and then set it on Power Saver. Battery life was only 3Hr. . . . Am i missing something here? I thought supposed to be getting at least 6hrs of battery? Idk. Maybe i need to " break in" the laptop more? I have a new HP Laptop I got for Christmas and never had this problem until a few days ago..I haven't even been on a full 30 minutes and the battery life is alrady a little below 90.I shut my comp down every night and have virus protection..so why does it do this?

is there such thing as an extended battery pack or something for an hp laptop? it'll only stay on for about an hour or so before i have to plug it in. it's always been like this, and it's just a hassle, but i do love the laptop otherwise, so i'm not really looking to purchase a different one.
