Why would a new HP laptop battery not charge?
I just bought a new HP laptop and it is not taking charge. The laptop only is turning on by the ac adapter.

it was charging until just moments ago, it says it's charging and the light that shows it's charging is lit, but it stays at zero.It's not the adapter, and I don't think it's the battery unless it just up and decided not to work, and i have taken the battery out and put it back in twice.

my laptop says 57 % and has been like that for 2 hours. its plugged in and says its charging but it hasnt gone up. I noticed this a few days ago when i realized it was charging a lot slower than normal, and now its stuck. Any suggestions why or how to fix?
