I bought hp laptop computer but I can not have it connected to wireless internet connection. Would you help?
I have a netgear router and I tried to have my laptop connected to it, but failed.
Hp laptop computer troubleshooting. Horizontal lines progressively getting larger!!!?
Last year for Christmas 2010, my parents got me a new hp laptop. Into 2011 over the summer I noticed a small pink line going across the very bottom of the task bar. At first it bothered me but then I ignored it. The line started getting thicker and turned green and covered about one third 1 3 of the task bar, making it hard to see the entire icons open and impossible to see the date. Now, the line has gotten so thick that it covers half of my task bar and is now grey with yellow vertical lines. I figured it was time to do something about it before it got more out of control.I was hoping someone could help me out with a quick fix. Is there any way I can fix it on my own or should I tell my parents and see if I can return it and get a new one? It's getting closer to Christmas and if they got a year warranty then it should be up soon.More info I only ever dropped it once a week after I first got it and it was only about a foot drop onto a tile floor. I don't think this is the cause of the problem because the affects would have been too delayed. I don't know much about computers or the brands but it's a hp and in the bottom left corner it says Pavilion dv6. I don't know if that will make much of a difference. Please help Thank you
How do i get my HP laptop computer back to default settings?
i have a Hp compaq if that helps and it is extemly slow and has alot of viruses and i want to reset it to default settings i tryed pressing F10 when it starts and pressing Restore Defaults but it never restores them i dont know what to do.

How come my HP laptop computer powers on and powers off for 3 or 4 minutes?
I have had the computer for almost 2 years, and it just starts powering on and powering off. When I'm not on it, and I have it on hiberate I'll come back to it to do something and it just starts to power on and power off. Has anyone ever had this problem like this before. I don't know what's going on and it's very annoying. Here is the serial number for the computer if that helps HP Pavilion dv 6000. The laptop is an entertainment pc as well. I hope this helps. I would like some feedback please to see if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks

Why does my HP laptop computer screen not work?
ok heres my problem, ive had this HP dv5 1125nr laptop for like two years and it just recently started to malfunction like 6 months ago to current day to be exact. The screen on my computer is broken theres no fixing it...so whoop dee doo but when i connect it to a diffrent computer screen like a desktop screen it works fine, but then the same problem happens when the old screen worked, these horizontal and sometime vertical lines of darkish colors appears and nothing works, i have to turn off the PC by holding the power button. its very frustrating because im a college student and i cant afford to buy a new computer right now and the semester is about to start too....does anybody have any idea what it is...some people told me that the graphics card is broken or something and other people tell me its the connections and the motherboard that need fixing,...so im very confused. and the warranty is over, so i dont expect any help from HP... its OS is Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit...please anything helps computer cost me like 800 bucks and if its cost more than like 200 to fix it then im pretty much screwed

for awhile now like 6 months and my computer is only 2 years old. There is nothing wrong with the computer and I tried everything from updates to help with yahoo IM, What do u think the problem could be? Do web cams break in the computer? It was never dropped so no damage.
How do I get my HP Laptop computer to come out of "sleep mode"?
I have tried disconnecting my power and removing the battery, but when I turned it on again... after sitting with no power for over 6 hours... it immediately came up in " sleep mode" . Everything I have tried to get it to come on or boot up have failed. Anyone out there have a same or similar problem? How did you fix correct it? Thanks.

im looking for an Hp Laptop computer for me. i want good speed, good memory, great battery life, pretty portable, at least a 12" to 15" screen, good resolution, intel core processor, usb ports, 400 600$ range, and a 1 year warranty. if i cant get all of these features, id like to get most of them, any suggestions PLEASE HELP
