Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: Hi there, my hp laptop don't start, he comes up with ''ntldr is missing'' can some one help?

I do have HP Omni- book XE3 laptop, witch I really don't use, but I would like to give to my 5year old son, but the laptop does not start, as soon I press Start comes up with this message: ''....NTLDR is missing...'' Can some one help, please?

Check link deals with message Reference number: CH000465 NTLDR is Missing. Causes: Computer is booting from a non-bootable source. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS. Corrupt NTLDR and/ or NTDETECT.COM file. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file. Attempting to upgrade from a Windows 95, 98, or ME computer that is using FAT32. New hard disk drive being added. Corrupt boot sector / master boot record. Seriously corrupted version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Loose or Faulty IDE/ EIDE hard disk drive cable. Hi NT LDR is one of the essential files needed to successfully boot into windows. If it has been corrupted by a virus or bad luck you normally have three possible options 1) Command prompt based copy of the file from another source to your laptop. 2) Restore to an earlier (or factory) state, this may require the use of a recovery CD if one was supplied with your laptop 3) Complete laptop rebuild Your options may be affected if you have files on the laptop that have not been backed up
