Question: My hp laptop is booting up really slow?

Hey, my laptop has been having some very long boot times. When the HP logo comes up on the screen when I turn on the laptop, it takes forever to leave that, sometimes longer than 5 minutes. I'm not sure what the problem is, when it gets to the windows bar loading, it takes about 2 swipes and it gets to the vista logo and starts up in a couple of seconds. I have a 2.1ghz processor, 3 GB ram and 250 GB hard drive. Is there any program that can check this out and tell me whats wrong?

Possibly a hard drive failure. Press F10 on the logo screen, go to DIAGNOSTICS - HDD SELF TEST (LONG). Should take an hour or so, if it fails and it most likely will, the hdd needs to be replaced.

Scan your system with an updated version of any antivirus and after this process scan again with a good registry cleaner tool such as Reginout. The problem will surely be solved.
