BSOD in win. XP pro on IBM laptop?
I have a IBM laptop, it came with win 98 sec. edition, 256 memory, I up graded to XP pro and 512 memory, not many programs on the computer and it actually seems to run a little faster in some applications but I have got the BSOD a few times lately, I have run a free system registry cleaner, re loaded the program that has had the BSOD happen while running yes the program is made for XP Vista 7...so where do I start to find the problem?My copy of XP has service pack 2, I have never used the internet to update, didn't want to take a chance on line with no real security program, is SP2 sufficient if I am not going on line with the laptop?

The only way I can turn it back on is by rebooting it. It's turned off 4 times in the past 5 hours Help? I've had this computer for 3 years. Lenovo/IBM Laptop AC Adapter - Technical Question?
Im trying to test my AC adapter with a multimeter yes i know how to use one im a computer technician . My question is are IBM Lenovo power adapters controlled by the laptop, do they even put out a voltage if they aren't connected to the laptop? This is the second IBM AC adapter ive tried to test but not getting any voltage reading from it, so i suspect either both are broken or they don't even activate unless connected to a laptop. If they are controlled by the laptop, how can i test the ac adapter and no, plugging it in is not an option smart asses lol . Is it even possible?
I have bsnl UT Starcom WA3002G4 modem. I am already using wireless internet in my IBM laptop.?
I bought a new Hp laptop. I am not able to connect either LAN or wireless in my new laptop. All drivers are installed in the laptop.the bsnl ppl did some magic settings in my neighbours house that they are able to use simultaneously in both laptops. i want to use wireless internet simultaneously in both the laptops. i have tried all possible ways through internet but none worked. kindly help me out.
Dropped my IBM laptop and now it says 'operating system not found'?
So I dropped my laptop off my bed by accident, it's only a small drop around 1 2 foot. It landed on it's side so I picked it up and it was frozen, so I turned it off and on again and when I did it came up with a black screen saying 'operating system not found'It makes a beeping noise when I turn it off that it's never made before. How screwed am I and can I fix this on my own? I don't have any of the CD's that go with it or any disks. Help would really be appreiciated
