Question: I have an older t21 ibm laptop that when i turn on says check time and date settings .?

Then it shows a locked padlock symbol in the upper left corner of the screen. please help

The battery requires changing. depending how old it is to its type, however, in any case its quite easy to change. Its more than likely a Â£v button type ( about the size of a twenty pence piece and shinny) Remove and replace. This battery keeps the time correct, and always the time to be corrected, normally by double clicking the clock.
