Choosing A Laptop Homepage

Question: My ibm laptop running windows xp is having problems connecting to my wireless internet?

So I've checked the wireless card and it works but when I select my wifi in the menu and type in my wep code it says that it is connecting but then it just stops working without connecting me. It's not the wifi fault either because I'm on it right now with a different computer. Please help!
