Question: Urgent my ibm laptop keeps getting a blue screen how can i fix this?

This is my school laptop Which constantly keeps rebooting I get past the windows loading bar and it immediately goes to a bluescreen with an error at the bottom reading STOP: o7xe - - - - - Windows xp It suggests checking disk/ f but I don't know how to get to where i can activate this check. It also reads technical error The blue screen is like a guard denying me access to the laptops desktop I need help resolving this and hopefully allowe to log back onto my system

This is due to HDD failure. You should have boot-able CD windows xp. Boot from CD. click on the R repair the system. Command prompt will open select the operation system do you want to repair, in dual mode. or it will show c:\windows enter command chkdsk / r, chkdsk/ p. it will repair the HDD error. restart the system.
