What is a good and reliable laptop?
i currently have a sony and it has lasted me 2 1 2 years and i love it to bits. i need a fast and high memory laptop i would like some thing other than a gateway or acer. i also need it to be relatively small and light. it would also be good if it was durable, i take my laptop to school so you can just think of the strain it would be in. cost is actually in the question so i would like it to be $700. please help me.

My laptop has something wrong with it?
It's an ASUS Notebook U50F. It's new, only had it for a few weeks. It runs perfectly, but almost every time I type more than a few words, the computer goes into some kind of sleep mode. the screen goes completely black. to turn it back on, I just push the power button and it opens to the first user menu. I click Owner, and it opens up immediately to whatever I was doing before. It's happened several times just typing this Someone help me

How can I fix my HP mini laptop?
So I have an HP mini laptop with Windows XP on it. I have had it for a little over a year now. Earlier today all of these popups started telling me my system had been hijacked and tried to get me to download something. I didn't of course. However I tried to restart the thing and now it won't go past the screen that will either let me start it in safe mode or regular mode. I choose one and it immediately loops around goes back to the screen.Any help is greatly appreciated.
Why won't my laptop connect?
Ok so Where to start..I'm in a school program where laptops are issued to every student.My question is about connecting to the game server of MMO's namely Allods I tried connecting to other games and Runescape worked, Maplestory wouldnt connect to the news server, but I could still hit the play button and play the game fine but whenever a patch came out I have to re install the entire game because it wouldnt patch, idk why xD Allods has to connect to version check and patch because I did it on home computer , but I get this " The connection to the game server failed, error code 2.3" I can see why on school campus why I can't play online games, but why am I not allowed at home? I'm no good with computers so I have no clue. Firewall is on group policy, however, I have Allods Launcher and Pando Media Booster on list of exceptions not controlled by group policy. I have Sophos anti virus on this computer, but I don't think its blocking anything, how do I tell?There is also this thing called VNC Server on here, which I have no clue about either Anyway That is all I can come up with, please tell me if you want me to add any specifications of this computer to this post Hope I said everything that needed to be said So, any ideas, that might not get me in trouble with administration? and if not, even ideas that can get me in trouble? Laptops sound keeps dimming?
when i watch videos on youtube, or listen too music, the sound on my laptop sort of lets say, Decreases and only goes back to normal when i move the mouse for a couple seconds or turn the volume up a smidge. what could be causing this?its a Compaq presario CQ60its under a year old. running vista

Not same brand, but still is Vista 32Bit If not, I heard of reformating, but i do not know what it is or how to di it.What should I do in my situation. It would be a shame to have to get a new HD, since I have no idea how to put it in a laptop.BTW it is a Compaq Presario C700 with 1GB of RAM I know it should have more to run better, but it worked fine before ThanksPaul
