How do I get my laptop to start properly?
I have a Lenovo T420. Sometimes, seemingly at random, when I go to open it, it won't turn on. The light will remain green but the screen will just be blank no matter what I do. Even pressing the power button give no results, it just stays on. The only way I've found to fix this is to pull the battery out and turn it back on, but that's really inconvenient. Any advice?
Why wont laptop see the external hard drive?
just got a small toshiba external hard drive, i pluged it in the usb and ... nothing, it wasnt found, i restarted the laptop with the drive attached and it found it and installed the driver. i then unplugg the drive after use. next time i go to use it i have to restart pc as when i plug it in it cant see it again until a reboot. happens with some other usb items i use as well, like a dvd drive.
Can I operate laptop on AC power?

Why wont my acer laptop connect to any wireless networks?
I have to use my ethernet cord to connect to the internet on my mini laptop. I have tried turning on and off wireless but its not working and i need my ethernet cord to play xbox live. It shows at least 4 wireless connections available including Cisco and linksys its full strength all five bars but still wont connect when i try it reads " windows could not connect to " name of network" " this is very frustrating and i need helpcisco doesnt require a password

Ok i have a laptop computer with win xp sp3 which is connected wirelessly to the internet, and i have a desktop computer which has ubuntu server 11.04 installed on it with 2 NICs .i ve connected both machines using a crossover cable rg 45 network cable in order to provide internet to the ubuntu server both are talking eachother with no problem 100 p cent successful ping desktop ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0laptop lan interface ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 wireless interface ip address 192.168.2.12 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.2.1 primary dns server 109.0.66.20 secondary dns server 109.0.66.10 The ubuntu server to be connected to the internet i know it is possible with win server 2003my ubuntu server has a line user interface only it means i ve no graphic interface also it has no internet to get updates .how i set the dns on the server in order to get it connected to the net ?sorry about my EN ,i appreciate any help
Why does my laptop's wallpaper turn black when i plug in the charger?
I've gotten this laptop 2 months ago and I haven't changed my wallpaper ever since. But now whenever I plug in the charger the wallpaper turns black, I can still see all the icons and the internet browser works fine but the wallpaper is just black. When I unplug it the wallpaper comes back. Help please.
