How connect my laptop to computer?
I'm trying to make my laptop connect to my downstairs windows XP connection, but it said it is a secured network. How do I make so I can connect through the secure network. I have a windows vista acer laptop.
Why does my laptop screen go black or pink whenever I play any game.....?
my laptop use to run any game fine, its a high end gaming laptop and i would even run games like empire total war... but now if i even played world of warcraft for torchlight my screen goes black or pink after about 30 minutes, i can do anything else i want, considering i am on it now... and my brother runs these games fine on his laptop.. does anybody know who to fix it or what to do.. by the way this started when my computer said that curse client will not run properly with avg.. so i got rid of avg and then this happened....

I want it to be under $400 and to be good. My mother bought a 15" toshiba for 350 on some sale. I can only find 10" netbooks for that. Any site suggestions? No, I can't afford apple. I know... Help with my laptop freezing up?
Can anyone help me about my laptop keep freezing up.. when it happens i can do nothing my cursors turns into a frozen egg timer and all i can do is hold the power off button and then turn my computer back on. It has done this before but not for as long and fixed its self. i also cant press CTRL ALT DEL either all feedback appreciated. Thanks
Speech recognition makes my Windows 7 laptop freeze!?
I decided to try and use speech recognition on my laptop the other day, but it didn't work very well. The next time I turned it on it kept freezing as the speech recognition kept trying to load It occasionally works, but most of the time I have to force log off because it just won't do anything. I've tried looking under the control panel, but can't find anything to turn it off My laptop's brand new with a big hard drive and 4GB of RAM, so it shouldn't be because my laptop is outdated or anything, and as far as I'm aware it has no viruses or anything. Please help ASAP I need my laptop for college work

Hello everyone,I just bought this new desktop pc. I'm using broadband internet 512kbps 64kBps.I get the normal speed when i use my laptop, but right from the beginning im not getting the speed im supposed to get in my desktop pc.the upload speed is fine, but the download speed is too low.It only boosts up when i use IDM.otherwise its all slow.Im getting around 20kBps now.same speed in both xp and windows 7.What do i do now? I tested my computer using wimax connection, the speed was fine.

Laptop or netbook? advice needed.?
Hi Everyone I currently own a laptop bought 2 years ago and I'm thinking of purchasing either a laptop or netbook for my university studies. I'm a Computer Science student and am always doing programming and stuff. The netbook will be the latest model from HP mini 210 series while the laptop I'm looking at DELL's latitude 13. I'm hoping to use my new gadget for another couple of years at least and hope those experts out there could give me some advice.
