IPad or Laptop for College?
I am going to be a computer science major in college and I have just built a new desktop computer which is great. I want to know if I should invest in a new laptop or just go with the iPad as a companion device for the day and do all my main work on my desktop. I'm going to live at home so I'll always have my desktop available for work. But, being a computer science major, I can foresee some complications arising with not having a laptop with me at all times.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Ipad or laptop for college?!?!?
I was planning on buying a laptop for college but now people are telling me just to invest in an Ipad beacuse I can apparently buy my college books off an Ipad for way cheaper then buying them in a store. Does this account for the Ipad first generation or only the newest?

Ipad or Laptop for college?
Next year I'm starting college at Oberlin and I have a few choices for computers so I was hoping for some of you to weigh in your opinions...1. Buy a new laptop probably a Dell, I'm not much of a mac person 2. Keep my desktop dell inspiron 531 from a couple years ago though I would probably get some more RAM for it and maybe update a few other thigns and buy an Ipad or Ipad 23. Get a netbook and an Ipad or Ipad 2I'm a little worried about space in a dorm room. If I go with option 2, will I likely have space in my dorm room for a tower? I've heard of a lot of people putting their textbooks on their ipads. Does that work well? can you read the screen for extended periods of time and really study?Software wise, does the ipad 2 really improve on the ipad for note taking, printing, word processing, etc. that I will need for college?Anything else you can tell about pros cons of any choice would be fantastic. Thank you all so much.
