Ipad Vs Laptop For College?
I already have a nice windows desktop for writing paper, playing games, and research. What i am looking for is a great note taker in class. The laptops i am looking at cost around as much as an Ipad 2 so cost isn't an issue. I am planning on majoring in nursing, if that helps.

I would rather buy the ipad than a new laptop but will is it worth it? I'll be typing lots of papers... So how is that program on the ipad?? I have the itouch so I know the Internet capability is great.

I already have a homebrew desktop with w7 on it. My question is would it be more beneficial to spend anywhere from 1000 2000 on a good laptop or spend like 500 on an ipad?I have a desktop for the creation of data as you put it. The ipad would be for things like taking notes, surfing the net, etc. I would probably be doing most of the heavy lifting with my desktop.

I already have a desktop computer at home. I am going to college for business management, so I was thinking portability wise the iPad 2 would be awesome. I looked up some apps that would be really convenient, also I could purchase a keyboard, the output for projectors and tv's and a stand for it. I would love to have a macbook pro, however I just can't afford the price of it. I am going to a private college, so I can't get the education discount as my school isn't listed. If you have used an iPad for school, or if you're mac savvy, what are your opinions? Thanks
