Buying ipad vs laptop?
if i am looking for a portable computer i.e. laptop or ipad what would i get? iPad is something im interested in but i have a laptop, but would rather have an ipad. My laptop is kind of slow sometimes and outdated and i would like something new in the future and would not know whether to get an ipad or another laptop. The ipad doesnt have a disc drive i dont think but i like to have a lot music, tv shows, etc on my ipod and other things so would a laptop be more ideal if i want more space. i cant really think of anything else to ask but would like more feedback than just that so give me all info you have if possible...thanks

iPad is not really a computer but a tablet, but both ipads and pc are able to carry around with you, obviously...To all ipad user, what is your opinion based on your experience of using ipad comparing to laptop.I'm not talking about specified PC models brand to compare with ipad. I'm talking about comparison to PC in 'GENERAL'.Is it a good idea for college university students to use ipad?Will ipad one day dominate PC and all other tablet brands?

My mom bought me a iPad for graduation present. She told me that a lot of college students are starting to use iPads. I was wondering if an iPad would be better than a Laptop for a college student majoring in Chemical Engineering. I could take back the iPad and buy a Laptop that cost around $1,400. If a Laptop would be better what Laptop do Engineering students typically use.

I need help figuring out what pc tablet is good for me i want an Ipad 2 for graphc design and i was wondering if their is anything for manga sketching and 3d animation but i also want the ipad 2 for fun and reading manga watch anime watching videos and listening to music, watching movies and playing games, and watching movies etc. i'd get the one with 64gb but if i got a laptop would it be better i'd have to get a pen tablet and graphic design software and virus protection and alot of other softwares which would be a better decision??? for all the things i wanna do..Im thinking a laptop is alot overall bcThe laptop i might get would be 500 700 If i travel i'd need something to put it on bc laptops arent supposed to be on ur lapsecond, i would have to buy a pen tablet because i dont have good mouse controlthird, i'd have to buy graphic design software.... shall i go on again..........Apps... i dont want to be difficult but what about apps?

Ok have a dell laptop and just got a desk top that my buddy built for me, Now my cousin is going to get an ipad. i really don't see the big deal about them. Ya they are cool but just like the i phone you have to go through apple for every thing. Let me know what you think

my dad is giving me a choice for my birthday present, a laptop or iPad. the laptop i am using right now is kinda sucky. so, so far my choice is a laptop. 1. but what features does the iPad have that a laptop doesnt? and does it have some kind of word processor on it to type up documents? 2. about how much would a book that just came out cost?3. is the internet fast?4. and if price wasnt an problem, what would you buy? and why? compare to a simple laptop please, not a fancy one, maybe like a hp laptop thanks oh and 5. what an iPad be able to replace a laptop?

for my birthday I have the choice of either a laptop or ipad. im 17 and its mostly gonna be used for social networking facebook, twitter.. but i do need something i can do my school work on. i know i can print of the ipad using WIFI but idk about word documents and that type of stuff. Ipad VS laptop for nursing school?
I'm trying to decide on whether I should get a new laptop or an ipad. I will be going to Nursing school next fall finally and my current laptop is pretty much taking a huge dump. I thought there might be different apps on the ipad that could be good to help me with nursing school. But should I just get a regular laptop? I don't know too many people who own ipads so I'm not too sure. I'm not a huge apple user either so it might not be as easy for me to get used to. Any suggestions?
