Laptop AC adapter not charging battery.?
I have a gericom laptop. The adapter runs the Laptop through the mains but will not charge the battery? I have bought a new battery but Still will not charge? Can anyone advise me how to solve this problem?

i have a dell laptop. The adapter runs the Laptop through the mains but will not charge the battery? the adapter is the problem because with other adapters i can charge the battery? can it be repaired or i should buy an other one? please help.if i continue using the same adapter with out being it repaired and with battery inside the laptop, does anything happen to the battery life. i can charge it with some other adapter.can you please tell me how much it costs in indian rupees?
