Is this true about laptop battery lifespans?
I stole this from a post, BTW" Lets say you are using you laptop when it is not plunged in. So you use 50 % of the battery life. When you get back to where you charge you laptop, DO NOT PLUGE IT IN. Escipally if it if new, your battery has a memory that remembers how long you have charge you battery. So if you charge you battery for 50 % of your battery life, then you battery will on last for 50 % of the time, even if it is fully charged. Asking about Laptop Battery LifeSpan?
If your Laptop Battery has gone past it's Lifespan, you can still charge it. If you charge it so many times about another 300 Charges, then does the battery die down to the 0 % or does it stay on the 60 % or 50 % whatever the % is, cos i had my NI MH batteries for a long time about 5years and there lifespan is 3years and there charge i think is 60 % still and i was wondering if they do charge up but does not charge it fully, cos the life of the battery has gone. I want to know thats all.

Laptop battery lifespan question?
I reciently " inherited" a Compaq Presario M2105US from my sister to use for college, only bad thing about it is that it needs a ram upgrade and a new battery. The ram was the easy part, but I am unsure of the lifespan of battery I should get.I need to find a battery that will reliably last at least 1.5 2 hours or more for this laptop the current one is the original, and only charges to 30 minutes now, so will not be good for classes . would a 4400 MAH battery be okay, or would I be better off going for a higher one? if you'd recommend some other MAH of battery, let me knowI don't need something that'll last me until pigs fly, just looking for something that'll last through the next couple semesters and will be fine to just run home after class to stick in the charger.
