I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and it needs a new battery. Being as I know nothing about computers latops, I have no idea exactly what to buy. I've seen that there are 6 cells and 9 cells. I only use my laptop at home and have no problem keeping it plugged in. Is it okay to just buy a 6 cell? What should I do? There seems to be so many numbers and letters on the bottom of my laptop too, is that stuff important too?Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Should we charge laptop battery to 100 % and unplug and discharge it or should we continuously use it plugged. Which increases the battery life?Apart from these I know that dimming the screen, switching off the wi fi when not in use increases battery. But in the above said point, I have this confusion.
My New Hp dv9740us Pavilion Laptop Battery Wont Charge?
I have had an 8 cell battery for years with my laptop, suddenly it stopped working and after it lost its charge it never charged past 0 % again. Since then i have tried various other methods of fixing the issue like taking out the battery, plugging a new power cable into a different outlet and finnially just replaced the battery with a new 12 cell battery. The power plan says that its plugged in and charging but never goes past 0 %. The HP Official Battery Checker sp52021 says that it cant detect either battery unknown status 93 . I see no online advise for how to fix this.. Any Ideas?

I ordered a laptop and it is coming today. I heard that once you get your laptop and battery it is nescessary to full charge the battery first and then fully discharge it and then charge is again before actually using it to help the battery. Is this true? also when i charge the battery should the laptop be on or off? and when discharging should i use the laptop? or just let is discharge? thx in advance
My Laptop Battery is not charging full?
Hello, I have a Packard Bell TM94, and since a couple of months I noticed my battery is not charging to 100 %. I would only reach around 40 50 % and then it stops charging it. I have the laptop for a year and a half, and the problem started occurring a couple of month ago. Before that I was holding my laptop on charger even when the battery was full. I even had periods when it was on charger for more than 3 4 days in a row. Any suggestions?Thanks in advance
Saving my laptop* battery life?
I know that removing you battery and plugging in your charging cable saves battery life but i was wondering if i had my battery as well as my charging cable plugged in, well this save battery life?What if i use my battery and when it's about to go dead i recharge it back again and then reuse it and so on ?I also wanted to know if it's ok to put my laptop on its screen the screen is on the ground and the keyboard is going upwards sometimes i need to put it this way Note I don't know if it matters but my laptop is Fujitsu Lifebook AH530 Which one is correct laptop's battery or laptop battery I meant empty battery i didn't know how to say it. Laptop batteries won't charge my computer. What do I do?
My laptop works when I plug it into the charger. However, when I unplug my charger, the laptop shuts off. It won't seem to hold a charge I have tried using two laptop chargers to no avail. Do I need a new battery? What do I need to do? ...Thanks
