DELL laptop charger HOT HOT HOT?
Ok i bought a dell studio laptop at the end of december from dell and got it used it But i play games near enough every day and some days up to 10 hours a day with my laptop plugged in playing World Of Warcraft and the black box on the charger cable that connects the two wires together gets extremly hot i spoke to dell about it and they sent me a new adaptor but this one does the same aswell and gets hot ive just changed to powersave mode recently and have put the old adaptor back in to see if it still gets hot. The other day i was messing about and puttign my cable in and out of my pc a few times to see something and it came up with a message saying something like its the wrogn adaptor and my laptop will run more slowely untill i connect a 19v adaptor but that only came up once and i believe it may be a error this happend with the replacement adaptor dell sent me is it normal for it to get hot PLEASE HELPI spoke to dell about the fact it said it was incorrect and they didnt really say much tbhBottom of laptop it says input 19.5von the black box on charger it says output 19.5v service tag 23bhyk1i went onto the website it says my system could not be found for some reason it is the correct service tag i recieved a e mail from dell today sayingAs per your email I understand that adapter was again getting hot. I would like to inform you that if you have kept the adapter plugged in for most of the time then it will make the adapter hot. Further, I would like to inform you that adapter has got a small transformer in it which will become hot if it plugged in for long time, so evern though we repalce the adapter the issue will still persist. but im not convinced tbhSorry, System Analyzer is currently supported only for Internet Explorer or your Dell Service Tag could not be found. You can either try entering your Dell Service Tag under Option 2 or use Search For Your Dell Product.Thats the message i get when attempting to use that button on the link you sent meThat link you sent me is for the united states thats why its not working im in england but i cant see it on the english website i cant find the analyze buttonright i believe that is why its a unites states dell not the uk i cant find one for uk that e mail from them though seems ok i also have just been using my laptop for surfing for a few hours today and its not got hot it only seems to be when playing online games i think that might be itI believe it may just be me being a bit over the top as ive had it plugged in a while now a hourish maybe and its barely warm i think its just when i play games etc
