Why is my laptop charger not charging?
I have an hp laptop and my charger is not charging. I clicked the icon, for charging, on the taskbar and it only says " plugged in, not charging." Why is it not charging? The big thing that connects the two lines, on to the laptop and the other to the outlet, is not overheated or anything. It actually feels normal. seriously. so i need helP please i tried unplugging everything. and plugging it back in. even on the lines connecting to the thing i was just talking about. So does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? I did not wet anything. i didnt even drop anything.

Dell laptop charger not charging!! help!!!! :(?
I have a dell inspiron 15 and i use windows vista, I have changed chargers 3 times now, and the same thing happens, when i first start to use it, it works fine but after few months, when I plug in my charger it says " plugged in not charging" what's wrong?? the charging icon shows that is charging but when i take the charger out the laptop turns off

Why is my laptop charger not charging it and just sending power to it?
I tried it while it is on and off. The computer only powers on while the charger is connected. But it is actually not charging it, it is only sending power to it I guess. As soon as I disconnect it, it powers off. Have had it connected for 2 hours now and it wont turn on if I take the charger off, so I know it is not charging. Thanks

Laptop charger not charging ?
I hear this question a lot, but I need to ask. I have a Compaq laptop and it's not even a year old I've had it since Christmas '07. I kept it plugged in when I went to sleep and when I woke up, it wasn't chargin and it was only at 60 %. My laptop battery dies very quickly so it's life continues decreasing so I changed where it was plugged in, making sure it was plugged in good, etc. Finally I gave up and turned it off. Do I need a new charger?

Laptop charger not charging battery?
I have an acer aspire laptop running windows vista. Not sure about details beyond that . The laptop charger seems to have stopped giving power to the laptop whatsoever. It won't charge it at all, or give it power without charging. The charger seems to have just stopped working. I have to twist the part that plugs into the computer and find a sweet spot to get it to charge. Now, I heard that this could be that I need a new battery. Or do I need a new charger? Thanks.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ50 and i've had it since December 08. I've never had any problems with it until yesterday. When I went to turn on my laptop, it was completely dead. I didn't understand why because it had been plugged up all day . I plugged up the laptop and the charging light wouldn't come on. I then tried to use my brother's charger and my computer worked fine. I don't understand why my charger has been working so well without any trouble and now it doesn't work. I need to know if the charger can be fixed or if I need to buy a new one. If i need to buy a new one where can I find one and how much will it cost??????? Please help I have homework I need to do and I cant borrow my brother's charger forever Thanks in Advance The power converter is the part that isn't working. I used my brother's converter with my plug and it worked. When I used my converter, it wouldnt work.

Laptop charger not charging. Help!!?
The problem is this. My AC adapter can be plugged in to my laptop, but after hours when my siblings need to use it, I unplug it and it shows that it hasnt charged anything. What is the problem and is there anything I can do?

Laptop Charger not charging? Help?
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop... And, the plastic on the cord has somehow torn off a little bit. This charger was given to me, and it was a little torn, it just has progressed. Anyhow, you can see the wires. I want to get a new charger.Also, it's like the charger is short circuiting, yesterday it was charging, then last night it stopped. Today it wasn't working, now it is. I'm probably going to quit using the computer now, in general. But I wanted to ask this... Anyhow, I'm wondering how much would a charger generally run? Would you trust buying a used one, or from ebay? I don't have a whole lot of money... But, I've been doing some work online, so I kind of need the computer to work.And, if I can't afford a new charger, is there any safe way I can try to fix this? Even temporarily. Or would it fry my computer...My guess is that it IS the charger, not the computer, because of the wires...Thanks, very much appreciate it

Why does my brothers hp laptop charger not charge my dell inspiron 1501 laptop battery?
My laptop 60W 3 prong charger is broken im positive of that. What I cant figure out is my brothers charger is not broken it charges the hp laptop but when i plug it into my dell it will enable my dell to power on but will not charge the battery even though it has the same port as my brothers hp. IS there anything i can do so the dell will charge on the hp charger

Why will my laptop charger not charge my laptop for but the light on the charger comes up?
Laptop Model Advent Roma 3000Charger Model ADP 0929I have had this charger for 2 months now and it has suddenly stopped charging the laptop but the light on the charging box still appears and also other chargers will work in my laptop, but not this one and I have had the same model about 3 times now and all 3 have broken previously.

Why does my laptop charger not charge properly?
I bought both a new laptop batter and charger about a week ago, and when I have the laptop on and plugged in, the charger will go between not charging and charging. About every five or so seconds it will stop charging, then start again. Any suggestions?

When I plug it into the computer, the little light lights up at the side of my computer signalling that it's connected, however, the laptop remains dead and won't turn on at all.Has the charger been fried?
