Can I use a laptop cooler fan as alternative for my damaged cooling system?
Since yesterday, a notification kept popping non stop saying Warning A problem with the cooling system has been detected. Please turn off the computer immediately, and return it for service. I have a laptop cooler, and I immediately placed it under my computer just now. Can it act as an alternative for my damaged cooling system? I need help, I don't want my laptop to overheat.

My laptops cooling fan doesnt seem to start up when i start maxing it out, it gets really hot and when i start playing video games on it and then begins to crash, I dont know if my fan is busted or if something else is wrong

I have a HP and it gets REALLY HOT I need to find a cooling pad for it, the one I have can't keep up. I need one that is heavy duty and will keep it cool. Any suggestions?I use it for gaming and it is a 17 1 2 inch. Also I own a cooling pad already. Need help! Cleanin Laptop cooling fan!?
Recently my Laptop has been making loud noises. Every time I'd restart it, I'd get this message reccomending I not sign in because of the saved data I may loose if the system were to shut off because of 'damage to the cooling fan.' So I cleaned out the vent with comprssed air . . . but even though the loud noises stopped, the message keeps appearing when I restart my computer. I need to type an essay but I don't want to risk the system shutting down. Like I said, the loud noises have stopped yet the message still appears when I restart it, advising that i not continue. Is it just something that will go away over time or is there really still dust in fan?

My question is...How can you tell when your fan is in need of cleaning without taking the laptop apart to see for yourself?You know, are there any type of signs or software that might be able to let me know its time for me to clean my fan?I dont want to take the laptop apart without being sure the fan is in need of cleaning.

Guys recently i had purchased Laptop cooling fan,which v have to connect through USB port... As there will be USB male & female connection.. One is connect to cooling fan & other one is connected to my Laptop's USB port..So my MAIN doubt is that as this fan will be running through my Laptop's battery or its working functionality will be different without consuming my Laptop's battery ?Exactly i mean does it works on my Laptop's battery or ????????????

some cords are called usb 2.0 like for cameras and other electronics. The cord for the laptop fan is not the same. I need the name of the cord.My Targus laptop fan recently broke. I have had two different brands of cooling fans. Both have the same plug which is inserted to the fan. The other end is just an usb that connects to a laptop. Powering laptop cooling fans?
I am wanting to build a laptop cooling pad, with a small fan blowing air into my cooling system the intake on the bottom and a large one in the center pulling air away from the RAM. The small fan takes 12v at 500mA. The large one takes a standard USB volts and amps 5.2v and 230mA . I want to run both these fans off a single 12v 500mA power adapter. Can someone tell me what I need to put into the circuit to make this happen?
