as title says, price wont matter at the time being and only quality of cooler matters...I got a decent gaming laptop this last christmas that can run bf3 on med settings and also a good gaming desktop that can run bf3 on high settings.. But recently i've been using my laptop on games more often than my desktop since it allows me to play while being on the road.. I have bought some cooler pads that are cheap 30 bucks or below and most of them doesn't seem to cool enough my laptop while playing, so i dont play on it for more than an 1 hour straight..Currently this newegg.com Product Product.aspx?Item N82E16834998922 cooler pad is the one that i'm using and the temp i get for my cpu is around 87C & 82C both cores and gpu is at 67C while playing bf3...With just browsing net and no cooler pad, i get 60 65C for the cpu and 40's C on gpu...im looking for a cooler pad that would at least bring the temp of my cpu to 70's instead of 80 C and gpu to under 60C..So browsing around newegg and amazon, this are the 2 cooler pads that caught my attention based on recent reviews and looking at there specs...newegg.com Product Product.aspx?Item N82E16834992522newegg.com Product Product.aspx?Item N82E16834997410So is there any cooler pads that might be better than these 2??And if none, which of the 2 you guys think is better??Any insight will be greatly appreciated...10 pts for best answers
Can I use a laptop cooler fan as alternative for my damaged cooling system?
Since yesterday, a notification kept popping non stop saying Warning A problem with the cooling system has been detected. Please turn off the computer immediately, and return it for service. I have a laptop cooler, and I immediately placed it under my computer just now. Can it act as an alternative for my damaged cooling system? I need help, I don't want my laptop to overheat.
Homemade laptop cooler, how to give the fan power?
I was thinking I'd just attach the fan's power cord to an old USB A header I no longer needed, and just connect the two power wires. However, I noticed that the 80mm fan the only one I had lying around I used is 12V. I'm assuming it can run off of 5V, but if I can, I'd rather have all 12 volts. Where on my laptop can I tap into 12V power? The laptop has USB ports and an eSATA USB combo port, and there's nowhere else I can think of that supplies power.
Looking for an Acer laptop cooler.?
Hello there, I own an Acer Aspire 7741g 6426 laptop. I'm looking for a cooler for it as it runs rather hot and under load it does start to slow down a little bit, so I thought it was time to find one. I'm not very familiar with them as this is my first laptop, and I've heard that they aren't so good for them or at least they used to be bad. Any truth to this? From what I've seen there are side coolers and ones you rest the laptop on, and I would prefer one you set it on. I would like to know which coolers are compatible and which would fit, run smoothest and quietest. I wouldn't mind having a list of them to go through if there are multiple ones, I just don't really know where to begin. Thank in advance for your help

Do you use a laptop cooler/fan?
Does it actually help to keep your laptop cool? I ordered one & it should arrive Tuesday but I'm somewhat skeptical. I'm also tired of my laptop being really warm & sometimes so I thought I'd give a laptop fan a shot.

Best type of Laptop Cooling Stand/Fan?
I run several things on my laptop which require a lot of power professional video editing software and games such as The Sims 3 , thus making the laptop hot. I have always used a cooling stand to prevent over heating, and the one I currently have it getting a little tired. PSo, I'm looking to buy a new cooling stand for my 17 inch laptop, and am just wondering what the best type is. My current one has 4 fans in and is USB powered, which I prefer over a mains powered one.Should I be looking to get another one with 4 fans, or would a 3 fan one work just as well? What about the ones with just the one big 7 inch or so in the middle of the cooler? Are these better than the ones with 3 or 4 smaller fans?What about the position of the fans would that make any difference to the effectiveness? My current 4 fan cooler has 2 fans at the top, and 2 fans at the bottom. The 3 fan coolers that I've seen have 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom. I've also seen some with 3 fans in a single line, running across the middle of the cooler.So... yeah. Just looking for some direction as to which is the best type, and what I should be going for.

My laptop's been going hot lately, and I've decided to buy a cooling pad. On Amazon, all of the cooling pads have always had a few bad reviews that point out good points. Laptop cooling pad help?
i have a CM SF19 Cooling pad for my laptop, and its only a few days old. And Just a few minutes ago, it started vibrating badly. almost like the fans were out of balance. If i slow the speed of the fans it stops , but it starts again once i speed up the fans. Are my fans going out, do i need to adjust something. I know that a new fan is fairly cheap to replace, but my they are only a few day old... any help would be appreciated... Thanks

is it normal for a laptop fan to cut on and off or go fast and slow and there's a lot of heat coming from the vents where the fan is located
