Do you use an actual desk at home, or a laptop desk or something else?
I realize that I never sit at my desk at home unless I'm doing homework by hand, which is very rare. I always use a little laptop desk.
What is a good laptop desk?
Okay, so now I'll get down to the nitty gritty details. What I'm looking for in my laptop desk is Room for my 17" laptop Room to write on while also using a textbook Nothing longer than three feet 3' Tall desk, maybe five or six feet 5' or 6' Room on the bottom for a wireless printer Room either up top, or midlevel for speakersGood one.

Best laptop desk/stand for couch use?
I currently have one of those crappy particle board and metal stands it has 3 legs with wheels and is very common to see on amazon.com etc. Anyway, I want one that is easier to use and adjust but doesn't take up much room. I really want it to be easier to swing out of the way when i want to get up and easy to lower closer to my lap while I am sitting for more comfortable use. I have seen the " Air desk" and would be willing to pay the heafty price but I read some bad reviews. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Used the Air Desk and like it? Help this is so annoying Thanks
What do you call the locking mechanism you can find in portable laptop desk.?
its a pair and round with triangular teeth and when rotated has a lot of angles to choose from.the question is actually for the desk. its located to where you can adjust the angle of the desk and lock it in place by turning the screw and locking itself. the locking mechanism has triangular teeth that matches another round mechanism with triangular teeth.
Is there a difference between a laptop desk and a lap desk?

Where can I find a portable laptop desk that is suitable for left handed users?
I've searched online at Amazon, Office Depot, and Staples... and have found nothing. Is there even such a thing? Thanks.perhaps I should explain. I am gift shopping. The laptop desks all have the mouse pad holder on the right side, thus limiting the usage for a left handed user. There are some really nice ones BUT they all have the mouse pad on the right side and I need to find one that has it on the left... or one that is adjustable to where my friend can switch it from the right to left side.theGhost1, did you even read my question before snapping to your iggnorant judgement? A prison laptop desk which allows use with external keyboard and mouse.no physical access to notebook.?
looking for a cost effective off the shelf laptop desk. I am thinking Lexan enclosures of the notebooks.If they want to beat on the equipment we will provide them with cheap external I O,cheap keyboards and mice. These folks currently beat up the STATE PROVIDED FEDERALLY FUNDED LAPTOPSi need links to real products.this is a prison classroom. I need a solution for physical security of up to 24 devices.still allowing use,but never touching the laptop.these people are in a halfway house.They're out of control and the state has ADP ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION.MY company wants to keep the contract.I believe it is INTENTIONAL DAMAGE and want to provide a solution that protects everyone. Right now the laptops get broken LCD DISPLAYS and KEYBOARDS The solution should allow the LCD display to be seen.We could go with one of those big rolling VAULTS. I could go wireless keyboard and mouse.That would leave the video issue.We could display it on a flat panel on the wall. Laptop desks. what are the ones calleds with the fan that cools the battery?
i saw it on TV a long time ago, and my sister just moved into her college dorm. i have no idea the name of the lap desk, but it would tilt up and you could sit and type while the fans in the desk cooled the battery, thus keeping it from over heating. What are they called and where can i find one?
