Worried about laptop fan noise/temperature when playing games?
I recently bought a Dell N5110 laptop with an i7 processor and a nVidia GeForce GT 525M graphics card. When playing games, like Skyrim or Command and Conquer Red Alert 3, the fan on the left side of the laptop gets loud and emits hot air. It sounds worrying. Is this normal? Safe?

Hi. My laptop has a bit of a problem. The fan rattles. HARD. And I mean HARD. To the point of scariness. But here is the kicker it only does this when I use the the internet. The fan clearly sounds like something is broken, but why is it only kicking up when using the internet? It is years out of warranty, so gutting it is not a factor. So is the fan just shot or is their something completely screwed with my laptop? It's a Toshiba Satellite model unknown if that is relevant.
Why has this happened on 2 of my laptops...(fan/noise) question?
I'll have the laptop for like over a year and all of a sudden this fan noise starts, it sounds like lawnmower, im not sure where it's coming from, sounds like the fan running inside it, it gets louder n louder until it is so loud you cant stand it.My virus protection has run out, i dont think i was very rough with this computer but it has happened on 2 of them so far, this being the second.I'd also like to add the battery it needs a new one, it gets real hot and dies the minute you unplug it. Don't know if this also has anything to do with it What do you think is going on?yes i am a smoker and smoke over the computer and sometimes get ashes on the keyboard and blow it off, i also use it in bed and stuff sometimes accumulates in the crevices, i just blow it away or try towhere should i put the air, in the keyboard...?

I got a new laptop 2 weeks ago and the fan sometimes like once a day makes some not that loud noise for about 5 minutes then stops...That is normal right?

Laptop Fan Noise problem even after cleaning the dust?
My 3.5 year old Acer laptop is making annoying noise. An year ago, it was fixed when I cleaned the dust. Now, even with cleaning the dust infact, I did not find any dust on the fan this time , the noise did not come down rather intesified. Any solutions?
Laptop fan noise problem, how to open up laptop to reach fan part?
My laptop HP Pavilion dv 7 1133cl. Its fan is making too much noise. No not the processing noise, that's fine with me, but it's making like a broken fan sound.... now it's making the mechanical whirl sound.... non stop continuous. This is super annoying. I tried to take apart my laptop and find what's causing this problem, but I can't find anywhere to open it to reach the fan part.... Can you help me resolve this problem... maybe by giving me the step by step instruction to open this laptop and reach the fan part?smgray i've tried that already. no hope.zenon i've tried that too, but i can't reach the fan for some reason... besides idk how to take off the keyboard... . i've tried all screws. can't reach fan.
Acer Laptop Fan Noise Problem + Service Options?
I have an Acer Aspire 5670 laptop, works perfectly except for the fan which makes a grinding noise at lower end speeds. The fan works well at higher end speeds. In any case I want to get it fixed, but where should I take it? I do have my Acer warranty, but I'm a college student between home SF CA and school Philly PA . I live in a dorm as well. I want to get this thing fixed fast hopefully rather then shipping it somewhere never to be seen again to many Acer horror stories I feel its a simple repair, the fan probably just needs to be tightened to the frame or needs some " oil" . But I don t want to void my warranty, or go into the PC and find a problem I can t fix Any educated suggestions? What price am I looking at if I went to a repair place in Cali? How long might it take? Should I ship it to wherever Acer wants it? Is there some way to make a repair shop honor Acer s warranty? Is there a listing of places that do that? thanx a bunch
