Why does my laptop fan keep making this grrring noise?
I recently changed my laptop fan because it was getting very old. the new one was working fine for the first day... then it started making this grrrrring noise all the time, no matter what i did on the laptop i game allot . the weird thing is that my old fan was doing the same thing but louder. i dont know what to do, and i cant afford a new laptop. i'd rather fix it. any suggestions? help?
Strange smell on my laptop fan even after its been fixed?
i lost my hard drive during march, and then i had to get dell to fix it, i waited,and got it back..i was weary i had one blue screen attack at April 20th.And this morning when i tried to turn it on eventually it went on again,but its seems to work fine,but still don't get whats with the smell it has since the time it fried,i thought they got it fixed..or is it something to do with the battery?
Can you control the laptop fan?
My laptop makes more noise than it really needs to. What makes it more annoying is that when my CPU is running at 75 % and up, the noise gets even louder. I don't understand how a busy cpu translates to the fan speeding up faster.Is there a way I could control that? Why does it do that?
Is there any way to make my laptop fan run on 100% all the time?
I don't care if it is as loud as a train I just want my laptop cool. SPEEDFAN does not work on it so don't suggest it. Other suggestions are welcome. I would like it to run at top speed even if it is cooled down like an air conditioner without a thermostat it keeps running regardless of how cold the room is.
I need a new internal laptop fan?
I don't know why fan sucks but my laptop is constantly overheating after short periods of time while its on and it slows down my computer to where i can use it. I try cooling external fans but that only temporally solves the problem. So the question is where can i find a brand new internal fan for my " Dell Studio" laptop? I don't know which model of the studio laptop it is but i got it in July of 2010 so if somebody could help, it would be much appreciated.

I m using laptop Acer 5742G for gaming......Now in summer regular Temperature of laptop is 55 60 C,And when i playing games like TE SV Skyrim is increased up to > 90 C.Is really my fan is dead?my laptop warranty is over before last month game is running smoothly no problem at all but it gets too hot.Advise plz.
Why is my laptop fan running loud when I have barely any processes running?
A couple of days ago, my laptop started running as if I were running a game or high performance program. It boots up fine, but when I log in it gradually builds up to a loud state, and I've discovered also, if the laptop logs in when the internet is off as in, unplugged , it works as normal. I have no idea what is going on and I doubt that having the internet online is the source of the issue. Brand new laptop fan makes really loud noises?
My laptop is only a few weeks old Dell Inspiron and every time i open a new website or open a file or application on my computer it makes a really loud whirring noise. I use it on a table and not on my lap, nor is it over heated.What could be wrong?
Laptop Fan Always Running Since Comodo Internet Security Installed?
Hi everyone. I am using some security software and I need to know how to go about setting everything correctly. I am already pretty good at computer stuff, but I need to be certain when it comes to security.I have these two security programs running in real time Avast Antivirus 7.0.1Comodo Internet Security Firewall I am suspicious of what is going on with Comodo, because ever since I've installed it my laptop's fan has been running non stop. I have set Comodo to just run as a firewall, because that's all I need it for. So what could be making the fan run so much? Windows Firewall never did this. Should I just uninstall Comodo?I have all of Avast's shields running except the P2P and Mail shields. But then again Avast never made the fan run like this.What Comodo settings could be doing that? Again it's happened right after installing Comodo.Now here are my specs OS Windows 7 32 bitProcessor AMD E 300 with Radeon tm HD Graphics 1.30GHzMemory 3.00GB 2.60GB usable Hard Drive 229GB out of 282GB free I have already tweaked my system to only run absolutely necessary services and such, and don't have any bloatware installed at all. Laptop Fan making weird noises?
I have a Gateway laptop, and whenever I turned it on, it sounded like an airplane or something... So I took a look at the fan, it was full of dust. So I took it and blew it out with air. I figured that would help the problem, so I turned my laptop back on and it made the same noise. I looked at the fan, it was spinning perfectly fine. And I know it's the fan because By the way, I have a stand, one with and without a built in fan. It's not making the noise because it's over heated, and it makes the noise right when I turn it on.1. The noise is louder near it. 2. It's warming up near the fan, on the bottom of my laptop.So, I was wondering if you guys know what else I can do, and what's wrong with it, before I just send it to get it fixed.
I need to Clean my Laptop Fan, how do i remove the keyboard?
My Laptop gets Really hot and i want to use a can of Compressed air to clean the fan, but when i tried to take off the keyboard it only worked piece by piece. is there a way to Remove the whole thing together and put it back ? is it hard to put back on ?Or is there another way i can reach the fan without having to remove the keyboard? Does this Laptop fan sound normal?
Today I was cleaning my laptop with an air compressor to clean the vents and dust my keyboard while EVERYTHING is turned off and unplugged. Then once I turned on my laptop the fan was making a new noise that I never heard of although its not overheating and I can turn on my laptop normally. Plus I didn't see any failure notices on my laptop. Windows Vista Laptop Fan Error?
Hi all, I have a Windows Vista Lenovo Laptop. It's pretty old, which i think is the real problem, but i want to know how to fix this. Whenever i push the turn on button, it turns on, then beeps and says fan error, then turns off. This laptop used to be my sisters, and when she did it, she pressed Esc a bunch of times and it worked, but it locked every 5 10 minutes and froze. When I tried to press Esc, it didn't work. Is there a way to start up the computer? Or any way to fix this problem? Please help... thanks < 3
