Do I need to buy a new laptop for college?
I have a MacBook Air and I don't have the money to get another Laptop so would the MacBook Air be a good laptop for college?

I am not totally sure about my major but I am going to minor in art. I wont be starting my minor classes probably till next year so I can get basics out of the way. I need a laptop. I have no idea where to start. my price range is around $600 give or take but if someone knows one for less I'll take that too. I do a lot of video work and editing pictures for weddings or graduations occasionally so I'd love to move that to my laptop. So it needs decent graphics.I'd like it to have a good memory. I'll get a back up drive most likely too but I'd still like to have an okay storage space.I'd like it to be pretty fast as well. I won't get a used laptop eitherIt's not much to go on but I really just need a decent computer. If you could post me links that'd be great.

I have a budget of less than 1000usd.. maybe 900 usd or more. i am going to college soon, will have alots of assignments soon. so i need a laptop. which laptop is currently best and look nice on the market with the budget i hvae. i love photography so id love a laptop which can edit picture using photophop thnksss.... give me a few selection if possible
Linux laptop for college?
I will need a computer for college, and I heard that some schools limit what OS's or types of computer their students can bring. For example, only windows, or only computers with Microsoft Word. Do any of you go to college and know whether this is true? And if you do have a linux computer at college which I want have there been any problems?
Is the MacBook Pro the best laptop for college?
I'm heading towards college in the fall and I need to get a laptop and I really want to get a MacBook Pro 13 since I am a student Apple will give me a 100 discount so I'll only pay $1099 my mom is giving me a 1200 budget. Money is somewhat tight right now so I probably wouldn't get the Apple protection plan which is like $200 plus my school requires that I have to have microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel software so I would have to spend like $130 on that. Is it worth getting a MacBook Pro or should I just get a high end PC laptop I already have microsoft home and student software that I bought from last year that would save me $130 if I don't get a Mac . My major is biology, if I take care of my Mac would I really need protection? Would it last me up to 4 years without any major technological troubles like hard drive and the motherboard? And another thing I love music and I never buy music from itunes I download it from free websites onto my PC can I do that on a Mac? Will I get in trouble by an Apple employee if they check my hard drive?

I need a laptop for college next year i have been looking at both Toshiba and Asus ones but cannot decide. I have been told by different people that each one is better than the other...with all the mixed information I don't know what to do. Which laptop?? for college?
Im heading to college soon, and I am pretty set on getting the Hp Spectre, I didn want the Hp envy beats, but from what Ive read the Spectre is basically the Spectre with the Beats feature but even better, also The Spectre seems like it is pretty comparable with the Macbook. Anyway i would just like some thoughts on what I should consider when getting a laptop for school and personal stuff like music, What should i be looking for in the laptop that will benefit me most, and what exactly makes a good laptop. If you think Im wrong in getting the Spectre, let me know I'd love some opinions. Thanks
Laptop for college...... x230t or T430?
I'm trying to decide which laptop to buy for college. I am VERY interested in the x230t the tablet laptop, comparable to the x220t because I think it'll be really convenient for writing notes in class and the like. However, the t430 is very basic and will do all of the stuff I need... Basically I'm looking for someone who can convince me one way or the other My only options are Lenovo or Mac since I'm buying the computer through my school. I also will be studying business so the Mac doesn't really make sense for my needs and I've already ruled it out.
Should I get a new laptop for College?
I have a laptop, I got it either last summer or two summers ago. I can't remember. Anyway, I like it. It's a Samsung. But for some reason, it can connect to any wifi, but the wifi at my house. And it's moderately slow loading. What do you think? Should I get a new better one for college more memory larger hard drive better wifi card or should I stick with this one?
