New Laptop gets REALLY hot when playing games??? Is it an HP Build Quality Problem?

It gets that hot. Im wondering why, because my friend has a Toshiba i5 and we play the same games but his never gets near as hot as mine, yet mine is newer.Is it the build quality of HP Laptops that result in this heating issue or is it just me? I play on a solid, well ventilated surface, and still HEATS up... How can I solve this?Thanks
